I am using another app to learn and practice the rules of Go and this app to test my understanding. It’s so simple in layout and use that it’s a great training ground 👍🏾
I think it’s good for learning how to play Go
Asked to rate ok so I need to write something something here because otherwise I ummm laters ok ok ko
Not 2 player
Doesnt explain any expectations in the challenges, just bats you over the head with ‘wrong’ until you brute force it. Even then, it’s suggested solutions don’t work. I don’t get it
I can see how this is a good way to exercise thinking and strategy in Go, but it is based on the assumption that the opponent will follow the counter moves and that it is possible to “solve” the situation. When really, the possibilities are as unique and diverse as ones opponents!
If you already know the rules/concepts, here are some good quick workouts when you have a spare moment. I like that you can play on at the end of the programmed sequence but I would love the option to take over earlier (ie interrupt the automatic computer play). Sometimes it’s hard to see why the computer insists on a particular line of play - and it would be useful to explore an alternative - if only to work out what’s wrong with it.
This is a lovely App but seems to be let down by buggy coding of examples....e.g sometimes there is no right answer and the supposed correct answer shows as wrong if you enter it yourself. Kind of let’s it down but would otherwise be great.
Really super.
