Better and better
I have been a desktop TimeZero customer since 2010 with radar and routing integration. The ecosystem just gets better and better. Cloud integration between iPad iPhone and desktop is brilliant.
Great Nav App
This is a very useful tool when you have a good GPS signal . Takes a while to get used to route planning and not always intuitive. But works well when you have poor on board systems, as a stand alone set up . PaddymacQ
The best navigation app for all vessels!
You just can’t fault TZ, especially using Furuno MFD’s and the TZ cloud, sharing routes, points and boundaries has never been so easy!
Disappointing
Installed it and it opened fine once. Then froze. Now it won’t even open just crashes every time. Disappointed as it looked promising.
Intuitive to use and fully functional
We use TZ pro on our boats. It’s brilliant to have all our waypoints, sailing and harbour notes synced across all our machines - and also now on my phone too. We trialled a lot of nav software before going with TZ. As a sailing school it’s really important that the nav software is intuitive to use while also offering a lot of functionality. TZ achieve this balance more elegantly than anything else we’ve seen - both in their PC apps and now on their mobile device apps as well.
Dynamic current data
Superb app but one failing is that it does not show speed on the current arrow as is the case in Navionics, (only show current direction) so I need to keep reverting back to Navionics when checking for future current changes. As an aside this app saved me a fortune in SHOM charts whilst cruising along the Brittany coast.
Pay twice for an upgrade
This app is good and it blends seamlessly with the (eye-wateringly expensive) Time Zero charts for PC. However, despite my subscription still having 5 months to run its simply wrong to demand that customers pay full price again to make use of what is simply an upgrade. With the high costs already associated with the PC it feels that the developers treat their customers with contempt. I don’t trust them not to do the same thing with future upgrades.

TZiBoat does everything I need
As a keen Sailor, I feel that iBoat provides me with all the navigation and weather/routing functions that I need. I have used the app for several years now and couldn’t imagine being without it. I particularly like the easy configuration and the wireless AIS overlay. The features such as the weather overlay are very welcome and accurate. I have compared them to other weather tools and iBoat weather overlay is very accurate at local level. Keep up the good development!
