Ultimate Cribbage: The Classic

Thanks for listening to those users who felt as I did (refer below)- much appreciated to have the original game back !! Being forced onto a game with automated hints and non traditional board and crass screen commentary is a real disappointment- I don’t know who you were listening to, but they certainly didn’t learn crib from a traditional viewpoint

What happened to your original cribbage? I paid for the no adds version now you say it’s no longer supported. This new one is terrible. Like cribbage for morons. Bring back the original where you can actually play with other players.

Anyone who has played the original (and now apparently outdated) version will know this is 100% gone backwards. I get it, your trying to make money and in turn offer more challenges and game versions, but the game play is so slow paced, the animations are slow and clunky and the whole experience will either make me delete it and never download again or just be an app that collects dust on my Home Screen. Such a shame to give us such a B Grade version compared to the OG and make the original app unplayable… disappointing!

Don’t believe the rating as it based on the old version. The new “update” is a completely new, extremely inferior product. Why change such a great app? I played this game daily but now have deleted the app. It is now infantile, with child-like graphics and sounds. I’m an adult (as I imagine are the majority of players) not a 5 year old! Why not release this as a new app, rather than force us to update, and leave what wasn’t broken and enjoyed by thousands alone? Such a shame :(

What have you done? This used to be a well made and simple version of a great card game that you have gamified and added a whole lot of nonsense to. I just want to continue playing expert mode as I have been doing for thousands and thousands of games. I was forced to “update” to a process I don’t want to do. Seriously bad move for me.

My husband and I have using this app for many years. We play every night even when we are apart. This new version does not let us play against each other even when at home together. The graphics are minimal. I am deleting the app and I am disappointed instead if an upgrade it is a downgrade.

I have been playing Premium Cribbage for years and was very disappointed when it became obsolete, and I was cornered into upgrading to this ‘Ultimate’ version. Which is a poor experience to say the least. To be honest it’s rubbish. Please restore support for the Premium version. I have deleted this new version and will miss playing Crib dearly. Thanks for the memories, but this Ultimate Version is terrible.

Following my review after being given no choice but to update to Ultimate Cribbage, I deleted the app. Later I vivited the app store and found that the original app was still available so I downloaded it. Later I realised that I may have inadvertently opted for the Ultimate option At the beginning of a new game and being unaware of the change, then been forced to upgrade to the new app. The upshot is that I am now back to playing the original game with the excellent graphics. Unfortunately though, I lost my stats. Anyway, I’m content now with the original game so the original bad review [below] should be taken with a grain of salt. BTW, thanks to the team at WildCard for responding to my review. Cheers! ‘Why in heavens name did Wilcard games change the format of their previously wonderful game? I had to upgrade to the new format because apparently the previous format was not supported. I have been a crib player for 65 years and have bee playing Wildcard’s App for years. It was by far the best of all crib games. The new format appears to target 5 year olds with graphics to match! I cannot express my disappointment enough.
