Unblock by Werdsmith

I don’t use werdsmith as I already have an app I love dearly. However I tried this seeing it a few times. But apart from using my hard earned cash how do I earn credits? I don’t. Why. At least use ads

When you open the app for the first time, you are ”gifted” 30 credits. You will quickly notice that you must use 10 of those credits to pay for the “discovery” deck, so you can ‘find out what kind of writer you are’. You have no choice, you MUST buy it. NB: I already know what kind of writer I am - one who can see a money-making scam a mile off! Having spent a third of your starter credits on a forced and, in my opinion, pointless deck, you only have enough to get one of the three decks that are now in your price range. If you buy the cheapest (“daily habit”, which just tells you how to keep a journal and most writers already know how to do that), you will only have 5 credits remaining, and there are 8 decks left to buy with prices between 20 and 50 credits each. I can't speak for everyone, but I have better things to spend my money on than information I could probably find on any half-decent writing website.

...Between me writing and me not writing. By following the directions found within this application I managed to find the characters I want to write about, and I started to understand what it is to write about different personalities. For one of my two main protagonists I now have pages of effortlessly written 'interviews' and character traits. I now know my characters; whereas before I didn't have a clue who they really were. Of all the writing prompt applications out there this is the only one that worked for me. I know a lot of people say that in app reviews but this app really made the difference for me. Thank you to the developer for getting this app made and published.

It's really useful for when you need inspiration but what annoys me is that you only get 55 credits to start and that only amounts to 3 decks at a maximum. There should be a way to earn credits by writing or by using the app for a multitude of days in a row.

Having enjoyed using Werdsmith I thought I'd download Unblock. The idea of helping you with creating new ideas and characters sounded great, but before I could buy I thought I'd give the free version a try. You get 55 free credits to choose a number of decks. Having done that, I went to the main page of the app to get started and the decks I had chosen were not showing. I didn't have any credits left having used them all up on the decks, so I can't really do anything. All available decks are the ones I hadn't chosen. I deleted and reinstalled the app but this did not solve the problem. I Twitted a message to Werdsmith 4 days ago for help and still waiting for a reply. Get back to me please!

Why all the negative reviews? I love the ideas it provides. Yes, you have to buy coins to purchase more ideas but I didn’t mind and it was worth it. I purchased all of it and love this app. It really is not expensive for what you get. Rather cheap, in my opinion.

I love this idea. I completed the first card deck and it was awesome and helpful, and I had stars to but one more, but you have to pay for everything else!! There’s absolutely NO way to make more coins except to pay! I really love this app, but it’s useless to me unless there’s some way to make coins in the app. Like, 5 or 10 every time you complete a daily exercise or different card pack? ☹️

The app works well, but I really don’t like the fact that you have to pay for star coins. It needs a daily system.

Show me a Writer that has expendable cash for this pricey application, and I’ll be in the presence of a writer that doesn’t need this application to begin with.

I liked the app it helped me a lots, but it has a little mistake: there is no way to earn coins.
