Under My Roof Home Inventory +

J’avais abandonné Home inventory qui était vraiment daté, même s’il correspondait à mes besoins. Cette nouvelle version est moderne, son interface très agréable et surtout, elle est synchronisée entre les appareils. Elle est souple et adaptable à la plupart des types de collections et d’inventaire dans la langue de son choix. Ses possibilités sont très nombreuses, pas toujours visibles au premier coup d’œil sans lire le mode d’emploi. Sur ce point, elle gagnerait à être plus intuitive. Son prix est un peu élevé, mais franchement acceptable étant donné ses qualités

J’ai mis 5 étoiles pour encourager l’équipe qui a fait un travail admirable. Déjà Home Inventory était l’application la plus complète pour avoir un inventaire complet. Mais son principal défaut était qu’elle n’était dispo que sur Mac donc ce n’était pas pratique d’avoir son inventaire sur soi. Avec cette nouvelle application c’est possible, on a l’application sur notre mac, iPad et iPhone. Et c’est vraiment super. Alors certain se plaindront peut être que la formule réclame un abonnement mais sincèrement ce n’est pas cher payé et l’équipe le mérite vraiment. Merci beaucoup et j’attends les améliorations avec impatience.

After losing a small cabin to wildfire, my insurance company wanted a detailed inventory list before paying out on the contents portion of the policy. Needless to say, that task was difficult since I had to rely on memory and some photos. Since then, I’ve become focused on capturing the inventory in my primary home. I now have a place to store everything and to eliminate paper. Those 2-page assembly instructions? They are now scanned documents in the app and the paper is recycled. I’m a long time PC/Windows user but this is the only meaningful full-featured app for home contents. I ended up buying a MacBook Air just so I could streamline data entry. The barcode scanner is my favorite data entry method. And, when the info is in the app, I can lookup details about inventory when I’m buying extra parts (was that a 10” or 12” chainsaw chain I need to buy?) Trust me when I say the annual renewal fee is nothing compared to having a comprehensive list of contents in case of fire, theft or ensuing you do have adequate coverage.

For YEARS, I looked for home-inventory software where I could put everything in one place: descriptions, photos, receipts, manuals, etc. Not only does Under My Roof allow me to do that, it’s incredibly flexible, and allows me to organize my inventory so it’s most intuitive for me. Hooray!

I first purchased Home Inventory 17 hyears ago way back on 11/15/08. Along the way the developers listened to my feature suggestions… leading to Under My Roof, an amazing app for being organized. And the support is top-notch.

I’ve spent a lot of time adding Repairs and Changes in the Mac app for various locations. When I look in the iOS app, they are nowhere to be found. The ones added under the Home show up, but not under Locations. All I see in the app is the Inventory list. I looked at their help documentation and videos thinking I must be looking in the wrong place, but all of that is outdated and does not represent the current UI. Another feature that would be really appreciated is the ability to move an entry after it’s been added. For example, adjust a Change to a Repair or move it to a different Location. Also, the ability to pull up all Changes across all Locations into one list. One use case I have for the app is to easily pull up adjustments to my house cost basis, but that requires me to go to each location and tally up the total by hand. Unfortunately, the app seems very Inventory focused, which is not what I care that much about.

Been using this app for years and it’s so easy to use and a great tool.

UMR is really the only App available to get one’s inventory under control. It is easy to use and the barcode scanning from iPhone is great when adding new items. Am very happy with this App.

I love logging the things buy. I can always look to when got them. It also makes you mindful and appreciative. I've used it for over a year and wish it was at least forty years.
