You’ve created a really good app here. I have ADHD, so recording my journal entries is a good thing. Plus, the follow up questions are pretty darn good as well. I would love to see an Apple Watch app for this. Also, I don’t know if it’s there or not, but iCloud sync would be nice too, because I have an iPad, and sometimes I would like to record it there. other than that, keep up the good work. this app just keeps getting better by the day. Whoever hasn’t tried it yet needs to try it. It’s free, and it’s awesome.
The Untold App revolutionized my journaling journey. Unique, tailored prompts tap into depths traditional manual entries fell short of. Voice journaling’s simplicity catalyzed daily entries, freeing me from dull, repetitive prompts. Reflective features stimulated self-discovery, making each session more than a monotonous test but serene introspective experiences. Companion apps and nuanced questions increased engagement and visualization. The crown jewel: a finishing affirmation provided a soothing psychological perspective. Untold extended to me an uncompromising sense of ease digressive from previous struggles, making the once painstaking practice a comforting exercise in self-understanding. Untold - redefining journaling, one voice note at a time.

I’ve been journaling in written form for years, and it’s always been very helpful for me. Now with Thoughts, it’s a whole new game. I get to express with my voice, and receive powerful follow up questions to clarify my thoughts. Highly recommend, this is a very cool application of AI and very useful for mental health and clarity.
I mainly want this for speech to text, and the ability to ask questions of my entries down the road. When I record something and immediately get a question about it, a prompt to continue recording, it feels invasive. I’d also appreciate a technical overview as reassurance about the app’s privacy protections. I know the mention of HIPAA-compatible backend storage, but is this a locally-running LLM? Does the audio leave the device? If so, who processes it? Otherwise nice tho 🤝
I’ve been using this app for several months now as a way to complement my journaling practice. I use it in addition to writing, as I find it helpful to speak my thoughts out loud, and I love the myriad of ways in which the app helps me derive meaning from my entries and dig deeper into my thoughts. A few things I really like about it: 1. After each submission, the AI gives you several questions as additional writing prompts based on your entry. At first, I couldn’t believe how smart and pointed the questions were, and so relevant. I often feel like I’m in a therapy session, and my therapist is asking me incredibly thoughtful follow up questions aimed at helping me further process, challenge, and work through my thoughts. In a world where we come by answers often, a good question is such a gift. 2. The ability to turn one of my journal entries into a structured letter to myself or someone else, and generally the ability to reformat and synthesize my entries in anyway I’d like is another benefit of the app. One of my recent entries was regarding my loss of my family’s childhood home. The app turned my entry into a heartfelt farewell letter to the home. It was beautiful. In response to my entry, it also posed several questions that helped me process the loss, reflect on my attachments, and change my perspective to see a silver lining. 3. The daily wisdom and daily affirmations are exactly what I’ve been wanting to start off my days and give myself a boost of motivation and encouragement when I need a lift. The daily wisdom notes are short and inspiring and the affirmations / mantras are tailored based on your recent entries. They feel genuine and authentic and are much better than anything I could ever come up with myself! 4. Lastly (for now) it’s worth mentioning that the app is just made really well - the transcription is accurate, the user interface is simple and easy to use, and overall it’s just a really smart app that functions well. This app has helped me process and work through big transitions I’ve experienced lately, and I’m so grateful to it for that. Thank you to the thoughts team / creator for improving my journaling practice. I’m excited to see the app continue to evolve!
i came across this on reddit and i am genuinely shocked at how amazing it is. i’ve never written an app review before. first of all, the auto translate to words is extremely accurate and the questions are so in depth into what im talking about even though im rambling. the interface is super simple and clean - i love the aesthetic. i would love a widget for this so i can quickly access it from my lockscreen.
I love this app. It’s so much easier to say what’s on my mind instead of writing it down in a journal. It’s so much faster too. The questions help me reflect as well and help provide guidance on what I need to focus on. The ancient wisdoms and daily affirmations are tailored to each journal entry and really help provide guidance and encouragement. This is my new favorite app that I will be using everyday!
I love the free flowing feel of talking to journal vs writing pen and paper or even talking. Journaling at the speed of thought. On top of that the response prompts the app gives you are thought provoking and feels like you’re talking to a person.
