Absolutely amazing first session. Elizabeth was great at creating a comfortable “virtual space”. I felt at ease to speak freely! Thank U Valera Health for making this all possible. I am looking forward to more therapy sessions and the healing process that is to come. 💕
First of all the app constantly crashes. Not just for me, also for my therapist. Ive spent weeks trying to find a way to contact someone about my psychiatrist, who isn’t a good fit because she doesn’t listen to me. And also because I found out after two sessions with her that she isn’t covered by my insurance. Good job on that, Valera. The “care management team” is a joke. The only person who responds is my therapist, and she’s just as frustrated as I am about our inability to get ahold of any other member of the team. At this point I’m tempted to ask if she takes patients outside Valera, because this is frankly ridiculous.
Recently something changed on the app. My therapist looks smaller on the screen and I’ve been moved to the top right on the screen. Originally Therapist took up more of the window which I prefer so it feels more as if he’s in front of me. I used to be bottom right which was less distracting. In addition to being distracted by my own face since now it’s on the top, names have been added to both windows further preventing me from concentrating. I can’t concentrate since my eyes are constantly drawn to my own face, his Name, the “you” that’s written on the window that shows me as if I wouldn’t know I’m me otherwise. Then there’s this annoying timer which is probably the most distracting part of this whole thing. How can I focus on the session with all these unnecessary things on the screen? Surely the therapist is capable of letting me know when we are down to 5 or 10 minutes or nearing our end. I feel like someone’s tapping me to hurry up as I see the numbers on the screen. Over all I hate this update.
I meet with my therapist using my phone. Most of the time the session goes on without a hitch. If I get a phone call in the middle of a session, however, things start to fall apart. I decline the incoming call and return to my session only to find that the audio has dropped and cannot be fixed. My therapist has to end the call and restart it to repair the problem. I can’t be the only one who is experiencing this glitch. Today it happened twice. Please address this issue.
person who called me for an intake consultation did not even bother asking me how I felt, just said that they made a mistake and do not take my insurance, then said if I want to continue to hop on a 3-6 month wait list and hung up.
I have been using Valera Health for over a year now. This app is completely unusable and directly impacts my level of care. Messages get deleted in the chat or never send. The app CONSTANTLY crashes and disconnects even when I have good connection. Video calls often crash. If I get any notifications during my video call the audio cuts out and I have to leave and join again. These are only a few of the many, many bugs and problems with the app. I am convinced that these 5-star reviews are reviewing the care they’ve received through Valera Health and not the app itself, which is absolutely unacceptable. Every time I have to use this app I find myself extremely frustrated. It makes all of my appointments a headache. I started asking my care team to communicate with me via text or email, and to have our video calls on Google Meets. I recommend everyone else do the same if you want to avoid constant frustration.
I made an appointment on April 4, for today. They cancelled my appointment the minute it was scheduled to begin. They sent multiple emails letting me know I was blocked from the app. They said my phone settings blocked incoming calls from them. I don’t trust this company at all. Beware of giving them all of your info prior to getting a proper intake.
I waited two weeks for my “intake” appointment, and had all my medical info ready to go, ready to be on antidepressants again. Unfortunately, your “intake” appointment is just someone telling you how to get and navigate the app, and to TRY to find you appointments while repeatedly apologizing for the app crashing on her, no providers in network, the app crashed again, found a provider but only takes kids, oh the app crashed, found a provider but no available appointments... Oh the app crashed. Throughout all of the apologizing, even she was urging me to look elsewhere. We finally found a psychiatrist, but after all my time on this app I never heard back from a therapist. So I waited another month to see a psychiatrist who, despite having had all of my info all this time, decides to tell me during the telehealth appointment that she doesn’t feel she could give an accurate diagnosis via telehealth, just go to the ER. In the ER I was seen by a psychiatrist within five hours (way better in comparison) who evaluated me just fine, VIA TELEHEALTH. And I called a local psychiatric family practice for follow-up care that returned my call within an hour. This app is a joke.
