Value Study

I may be like you, I am a very discriminating app downloader. Initially, I used this app to - try, and moved forward through iOS devices only, to purchasing lifetime, to sharing it as my drawing friends must try, and through multiple quick helpful chats with the creator, to use now - on my OS mac desktop. Like the app so far excited to use it more, but i had to search the internet for descriptions of what the heck all my icons were at the bottom of the screen. And also a small explanation of how to read the value scales because the green highlight threw me for a bit of a loop. as a amateur looking to expand my art skills this app is going to be super helpful but a “how to”/ tool description section would helpful.

Thank you, I use this tool when I need help to sort out certain values. It’s very helpful when working with values 4 5 6. I often have trouble with these.

I already purchased this app and now I’m being asked to purchase it again. Is there a reason?

I use it to plan woodblock prints. Wish you could add an additional color so you can have two shades in different colors

This is great for identifying values and shapes.

This is more helpful than simply going by the use of a black and white photo because it makes a distinction between value without the ambiguity of seeing an area blended. Simple to use. Thanks.

Great tool to improve your art - to make backgrounds set back and foreground (or focal point) move up. Other interesting tools too - you won’t regret it!

Just change the app's price on the store; very misleading. Subscription-based for $0.99 annually or $4.99 lifetime. Can't say if it's worth it or not as you're unable to do anything except view their examples after seeing it's all under paywall. Sticking to editing on the my phone instead of experimenting I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
