Deposit too slow and mess up updates on accounts
Since having this account lately I’ve been having a lot of issues! First one I never get my notifications or my deposits on time instead of two days seems like three like if it’s two days faster why I still receive monies on the payday at work! Then when I tried to get my advance the system was messed and no one knew how to fix it! I’ve been thinking about closing my account cause it’s been so much longer and harder to deal with!!!!ugh!!
UNSAFE BANK. DO NOT USE.
I’ve been a customer with Varo for 3 years. Managed to build my credit score to 750, phenomenal savings APY, everything was perfect. Randomly one day I tried submitting my paycheck like I do every other week, but the app would not allow me because I had “reached my balance limit”? Made no sense as I have never come close to breaking the limit of my account. After 4 hours of trying to reach support, I still was not able to talk to someone on the phone. Was forced to talk to someone over “LiveChat” and the language barrier was so blatant that they barely understood what I was saying.
I was then told that an AUTOMATED SYSTEM determines your account limits every month, and the human staff have absolutely no control over this!
My account deposit limit was decreased by over $1,000 per month with no warning, explanation, or even notification. Nobody I talked to could give me an answer, just that it was an “automated system”.
After waiting time out hoping it was a bug, things only got worse. My maximum deposit is now “$300” when just a week ago it was “$2,000”. Again, my credit score is 750 and have never made a late payment.
!!!!!! I am now panicking to switching banks, as I cannot pay my rent or bills without depositing money into my account. The way I was treated by this bank was disgusting and inhumane, leaving me stranded and unsafe. Never bank here. !!!!!!!!

Customer service rude, they dont help you with your concerns
They don’t pay the referral money
Don’t bother referring people you’ll never see a dime let alone a whole $25. As far as holding my wizard money until I need it it’s fine. Other than that they will not pay what they say they will for referrals, and they will inundate you with survey taking scams, which also good luck getting any money out of those. Just use this to put your money in, nothing else, they also stopped letting I’d get Zelle so I have to pay a fee to get any money sent. Honestly half star would probably be generous but I’m being super super duper extremely nice and giving 2 stars, you don’t deserve them though, I just don’t want you to feel bad like that way you make me feel.
No other bank to bank at than varo.
A bank that knows what the virtual market really is. A place where certainly everyone will come that doesn't want that physical bank branch anymore. No fees has impressed me to start backing virtually.
Login issues
I’ve used Varo for 2 years and every so often I can’t login and it usually fixes itself in a few days. However now as soon as I made a $500 deposit I cannot find anyway to login. You have to be logged in to get help. Any attempt to get help while logged out automatically sends me back to the login screen. Good luck calling them for help, you will never be able to talk to a person. It goes like this; can’t login, call for help, told you have to login to get help, the phone hangs up. They have ZERO customer service!
Not a secured bank at all
If I could give no starts I would! They literally let hackers in the system that is supposed to be secured and take all your money then won’t help you get it back!!!

I actually like Varo I use it to make bets on hard rock. So far it’s been fantastic and I have had no problems with my account!
Varo mobile banking
The app is pretty cool as far as storming your money and stuff like that but for some reason, I can’t do the Varo of Varo transactions and they took my Zelle away and I can’t cash no checks so it’s pretty much less than a Netspend card at least with Netspend I could you know from called using it to call use I can’t even do that in this
