If you are dyslexic get this app . You won’t be disappointed it’s worth every penny and more . It doesn’t take long to get the hang of it and has cut down my having to go over my work by 90% . As a dyslexic if I had this app wen I was at school I might have actually been able to achieve something academic in my life. I have used voice dream ever since it came out and have relied on it for righting documents , wen they brought out this new app it was like a dream come tru , it seems to be helping me to correct some of my dyslexic tendencies. This has never happened with any other computer program or person for that matter ,it enables me to internalize my problem and focus on it properly , while doing work at the same time . My problem at school was always that the focus was alway just on my dysfunction. This app alleviates this problem . I could not recommend it more 👍👍👍

Can't open files from iCloud or onedrive! Waste of money!!

I just re-downloaded this app to have another look and see how the update of progressed. Much better now! It is a proof reading app, however, not particularly a "voice to text" app. That is what I was really aiming for. It does work quite well with the built in speech to text engine however. Feature request? How about a character count display? That way I could you use it for composing tweets with far fewer typos!!!? ###### Old review on version 1.0 ...ummm... Either I am being stupid (entirely possible) or this doesn't save the file you made... Which is one heck of a bug! The Voice Dream Reader is a superb app, one of the very best of any kind, but is Voice Dream Reader seems to have failed on this early release. It is reasonable in that it helps you to proof read as you type, but that I pretty much it. Also without having saving your files for you, well ... Less said the better. Roll on release 2.

Fantastic tool for copy and proof editing. Lots of options that make these tasks a breeze saving much time. Sure it could be useful in many other contexts too :)

The single most useful application in my iPhone! Thank you so much for making this. I'm using it to compose anything, email text messages everything and anything that I need. It transformed The experience of typing text into my iPhone, from a long and tedious process, and enjoyment.

I'm using the ap with an iPad and Logitec blue tooth keyboard cover. I've tried several editors but most have their shortcomings. This one is rather special as the developer has already written one of the best aps to date for Voiceover accessibility. It has useful features such as as dictionary look up, spell checking and proof reading. Since purchase, it has become my default editor. Obviously it will improve as the developer has a history of updates. I haven't encountered the not saving issue mentioned by an earlier reviewer.

What an app! There are some unique features you will not find in a mainstream WOrd Processing app, such as the ability to proofread using text to speech. There are also unique features beneficial to VoiceOver users, such as the ability to not only move by characters, words and lines; you can also move by paragraph and even headings where available. And this does not include the VoiceOver rotor either. And the feature list does not end there! In fact, there are too many to list here for this review, so why not spend the £7.99 and try it for yourself. Buy now! You will sure not regret it!

This writing app is helpful in ways that don’t compare with any other app I’ve found. On the ipad, you have a centered,uncluttered writing space. To each side are panels that are pulled into view. The left panel automatically produces an outline of whatever you are writing composed of each heading and paragraph. You can reorder and delete each item. The left panel reveals an on-going definition, homonym, and synonym of each word you type. As you type, each word is spoken back to you as well as entire sentence. Why is all this so fantastic? Because it gives you a perspective on your own writing beyond that of your own subjectivity in the moment. Do you know the difference between sensing how you look, and viewing a photo of how you look? There’s a difference, right? This app is the only app that provides this difference while you are in the process of writing. You might think it gets in the way of writing, but I’ve found that it improves my insight into what I’m really trying to say. Compared to the countless writing apps available, this writing app stands apart in a very good way.
