Won’t play anymore. Why?
Love this app. Share it with my grandchildren every time I see them. But I can’t get it to play lately. Have iOS 14.8.1

What I particularly like about this app is that the Church Fathers can post small editorials about Christian life and go into depth, like a blog post. The daily scripture is amazing as well because it provides like a source of daily Christian knowledge, that is Orthodox rather than Protestant, something very difficult in anglophone spheres. Also, that the posts are dated makes me feel more connected to the diocese. On that note, I feel like the chat system is too broad. Like, I would love to be able to send this as a private message or post this on a private blog sphere with my parish members, but having access to the entire user base of the app is just too intimidating and it doesn’t lend itself towards meaningful discussion. The idea of a social messaging system via the Church app is actually really interesting, but it can’t be everyone— it’s too hectic and uncontrollable. Furthermore, I don’t understand why the prayers aren’t offered with translations in grabar, both Armenian dialects, and Russian, in addition to the English. Rather than an empty comments section, it’d be nice to toggle between Armenian and English since I personally prefer to use the liturgical language when I pray. I feel like there are others than would agree with this sentiment. Also, it’d be very nice to have access to the full Bible with togglability between English-grabar, Russian-grabar, and Eastern Armenian-grabar. For reference, the Copts also have an app called the “Coptic Reader” which I feel is very well produced and is worth it for the developers to take a look at.
Vemkar is my favorite application. I use it everyday for my Bible Readings. I am Armenian and I am thankful that this Armenian App is available. Thank you very much!!! Since writing this review, I have purchased an IPhone6 and I can no longer get the daily Bible reading from the Vemkar site, will this be fixed soon?
Amazing app but I have to keep deleting and reinstalling it. My screen goes black and it only shows me a track list without names. Also, it never plays an album in order. It always reverts back to the yekmelian badarak or Gomidas. I wish this app was built better so I could listen to it everyday without interruptions. Otherwise, great idea just please fix these issues!!
This app is amazing and a great way for anyone especially Armenians to access their church hymns, daily reads, videos and more in one source.
Such a wonderful app, I can be in church anytime I want! Only thing I think needs fixing is the bar for the music every time I try and scroll through the song i keep hitting the favs button and the profile button maybe it can be moved up to the middle of the screen?
Excellent App. The music, the images. Love the Events section, everything in 1 place regarding Parish & Diocese affiliated Events. All I need is shishkabob & pilaf while listening to music & reading through the various sections of the App!
Great to see our Diocese on the forefront of technology. Could use more information on youth programs and the Ararat Center but it's a good start. The daily scripture section is very convenient.
Amazing app. Maybe you should get some ACYOA info on there. Especially since most people that use apps are ACYOA aged "yoots"
Cool app
