Until vent starts caring about its users, avoid like the plague.
First of all vent has a terrible, toxic community which the mods do nothing about. I see people on here saying “vent hates white people” “vent hates black people” “vent banned me for no reason” and let me just say; vent will ban anyone who doesn’t put money in their pockets and they will ban them for whatever reason they see fit. And where does that money go? Not the app, that’s for sure, as you can tell from the constant server errors, crashes, problems with posting, and problems with signing in. Might as well make the app paid from the get-go. On top of that, any email you send to vent asking for support, they will ignore. They will instantly close the ticket without saying anything. And in the rare case they do respond, they won’t even read any screenshots or anything you have said to them. The mods are clearly not equipped with the skills necessary to deal with people with mental health issues or any people at all as they are always cold and rude. We don’t want an “oh we’re so sorry for your negative experience” only for you to turn around and do the exact same thing you just apologised for. Do better and start listening to your users. Get mods who are equipped to deal with people with mental health issues or at least get the current ones to step off their high horse.
