Verbal Me

Out of all the apps I tried out this one was the easiest to set up and use. There are good pre-made boards which are subdivided by category type but the ability to make custom boards, easily edit and export/import them made this a game-changer for me. My autistic son is non-speaking and relies on his iPad to communicate. With this app we can create nice colourful attractive grids (or have a standard black background) with visuals he recognises. It’s so much better and reasonably priced than many other paid-for subscription-based apps out there. A big thank you to the developers for continual updates and improvements.

I have just purchased this App. with a view to helping our lovely Grandson (who has CP and VI.) I am SO excited about sharing it with him! We have been looking for a simple, visually clear App to get him started with communication skills and I am very optimistic that this may be it! Congratulations on producing this App at an affordable price. Thank you for not capitalising on a child's special needs, but supporting them! I will keep you posted on his progress!

A simple but very useful communication tool. Excellent for including youngsters, without a voice, in lessons although would probably require a teaching assistant to find the appropriate screen for the student. Would be even better if you could create your own screens using this format. Clear screens and strong contrast makes is accessible for people with a mild to moderate visual impairment. Look forward to seeing how this App develops.

Great, simple app for communication needs. We had just begun using it with a student via single switch (screen touch) and auto scan through iOS built-in "switch access". After ios8 upgrade, auto scan abruptly switches after a choice has been selected. We are seeing this in the Yes/No page when No is chosen. The focus jumps almost simultaneously back to Yes. Hope this can be fixed so we can continue using this fantastic app!

I love this app. I use it everyday with a special needs student who is non-verbal. I have given the developers many requests on how the app could be extended and they have exceeded my expectations every time and added just what I was looking for. Well worth the money.

I am a teacher of student with Autism and I use this app in my classroom every day for several different activities. The buttons are simple but engaging for students and they love to make choices on this app. If you are considering buying this app, I would HIGHLY recommend it. I have downloaded tons of apps for communication and this is by far my favorite and the most user friendly. It's awesome!!!

We love this app. Our daughter needs a lot of help with making herself understood. This app is easy to use, bright and colorful and is geared towards the younger child. This is absolutely the best app we have tried for this purpose and I encourage others to give it a try. It is affordable as well which is nice since a lot of autism apps are prohibitively expensive. I am very pleased with this product.

This is simple and to the point not a lot of extra graphic would like more setting in the future that's for what you have my son will use un like other apps

As a preschool special education teacher, this app provides the speech for students who can't yet process their speech - well worth the $ !!!
