Verbling: Learn a New Language

1) Landscape iPad support 2) Video chat background support, blur at least 3) More organized UI. Instructor overlay, presentation mode and chat are not well integrated. Look at Teams, or Zoom for UI inspiration.

Useless. Literally. Can’t even open before crashing.

Use the website. I contacted support about some missing app feature and they responded telling me that the app is no longer supported. I’m not sure why they haven’t removed it from the App Store.

Verbling’s main service is connecting you with teacher and allowing video lessons. This part of the service is perfectly good. The teacher’s notes are accessible, words are saved and I’ve had no problem connecting to the video or scheduling lessons. But the app it self is kinda hot trash. I’m sure anyone using this just goes to the website once they have a teacher set up. The flash cards VERY frustratingly only allow you to practice five at a time. The text of the answers is cut off. You can’t switch orientation. Very basic functions of an app are missing. I like my teacher and am making progress in my learning a language from Verbling, but this app is annoyingly SO CLOSE to being useable in addition to that.

The selection of teachers is decent but the app technology is super clunky. And the video they require people to use has no background privacy feature - and they say it’s not needed (unlike zoom and teams and everyone else understands)

I’ve been trying to learn Spanish since high school, and I’ve never made much progress. With the AFFORDABLE and high quality 1-on-1 lessons provided by my Verbling teacher, I’ve made significant progress in a very short amount of time. I’m understanding Spanish on a deeper level than I’d ever even come close to reaching before. I HIGHLY recommend this app

If you want to read reviews and then go back to the teacher, you can’t. You have to reboot. Same for leaving messages for a teacher. Make sure you copy your message in the event you have to reboot app. It’s so annoying. I would be happy to rate higher once this is corrected.

been like this for 3 months. app is broken.

App has been crashing on iOS for at least 2 weeks on iOS. Seemed to be related to login as it did not crash when open with fresh install. Why has it not been fixed?

I cannot log in on my account with the correct password now, and I don’t have class right now. It annoyed me so much. I purchased 7 classes, but I even could not log in. It’s so bad experience for me. I tried many ways including log in website, app and all failed. Now, I’m concerned that how can I get the refund if this website and app doesn’t work? It shows that the verbling’s host error.... ?! I cannot take my class on time because the system issue. Who will fix this?
