Victory by Covenant Eyes

I use this app for my boyfriend. It works pretty well for what it is. Although there are a couple problems and I’d like to make a suggestion. Firstly, the outages really need to be dealt with. I know that they are unexpected and sometimes not really preventable, but given the subject matter, if an outage happens, then the person you are monitoring becomes extremely likely to have a slip. Which completely defeats the purpose of the app. Secondly, the chat feature is new, but I think it would be exceedingly useful if the person being monitored could request an app unblock for a set amount of time through the chat and the one monitoring could give them remote access to the requested app for however long they set it to. E.g. 30 minutes-3 hours, whatever. My boyfriend works and I’m at the house, sometimes he needs to access the internet for his job, but it’s blocked, so I have to give him the code, which I then need to keep changing over and over. It’s just not really intuitive.

This site has changed my life and thought patterns. I am finally becoming free from porn addiction. The level of support and resources is astounding. Worth every penny

The app frequently blocks things that aren’t remotely explicit. Also it will log you out, and not let you log back in, but your phone won’t work until you can log back in. It’s really rather frustrating for the cost.

This app is so helpful in recovery! It gives GREAT encouragement along my journey!

It’s great to have an action plan. I get to work on something everyday by doing daily lessons. Keeps you in check and totally helps with working toward your goal daily!

Such an amazing app to have on your phone. I’ve had it for over a year now. I have it on mine and all my family’s devices. It comes in clutch! My brother especially appreciates this app, as he’s going through his own journey of healing and escaping his old habits that only led to self destruction. This app has been heaven sent, to say the least. Thank you, Covenant Eyes for all you do. I was hopeful this would work, but then realized it doesn’t track or block apps which can be a downfall. Also, my accountability partner was alerted to possible inappropriate activity several times and I was puzzled. Called C/S and was told it’s from hidden ads running in the background. So be sure to turn off the background refresh option on you phone.

I cannot recommend this app. If you choose to cancel they make it painful and time consuming. Your better off doing some market research and finding the best solution that doesn’t involve an app that is immovable if you decide you no longer require it.

An amazing accountability tool. If you are somebody’s accountability partner, this is a great tool to keep them accountable. Also, good to let other people know about so they can put these safeguards in place.

I switched to covenant eyes after years of ever accountable. When EA updated to a safari extension there were connection issues galore but covenant eyes sets the standard. Highly recommend. The only drawback, it’s not compatible with Chromebook, hopefully that will change but other than that stellar!
