Violin Scales Trainer Lite

Hello, I used the in-app purchase option to access the full app. I love the overall quality but a number of features are missing. 1. "faster" and "slower" should be more meaningful: the tempo should always be expressed explicitly in bpm 2. while practising, if the tempo is changed, the new value should be remembered: it doesn't make sense to always go back to the default exam tempo if practising faster (or slower) 3. listen mode: there should be count beats instead the execution starts immediately. This makes playing along cumbersome. 4. play & compare: the comparison is always with the exam tempo. This makes the comparing useless. If the record is done with another tempo the comparison should be with an execution at the same tempo. Selecting the tempo while recording is not mandatory while I personally think it should (and it should start with count beats). 5. Practice history is not meaningful: it should show also the tempo and possibly the recording of at least the last execution (kind of practise diary). 6. the main page of each grade should show clearly what scales need to be practised more. 7. point 6. could be enhanced by using the Leitner algorithm (or similar) to schedule repetitions. 8. it should be possible to set goals over time (see point 7.) covering a number of scales and their tempo: this would help with commitments and facilitate progress. 9. self evaluating the execution makes the whole practising experience very limited: the software itself should be able to do the comparison and evaluate at least rhythm and pitch. 10. it should be possible to change grade from the hexagon view without going through the settings page. That's my 2 cents of course :-) The idea of this comment is to suggest possible improvements. Would you take into account any of the suggestions above? Thanks, Giovanni

Pretty rubbish app, there are so many more better ways to practise scales. Don’t get this

Terrible app. Try one of the others; scalebook, scaletracks or smartscales, all much better. I use them all with my students.

Had to delete as draining battery even when not in use

What a disappointment - and a con! What’s played does not match the written music (e.g. 3 octave arpeggios at grade 5 are written as two octaves, whereas 2 octave chromatic scales for grade 3 are played as three octaves). Generally a really lazy app, nothing more than a way to scam customers. And such a shame - it’s a great idea but clearly ABRSM just can’t be bothered to even try and do it properly. Don’t waste your money!

Unless you pay, all you see is a demo on C.

This app has crashed and been reinstalled several times on both apple iphone 6, and 7. When it does work, it is quite laborious. The record function wasn’t effective at helping improve. Most disappointing.

Disappointing! Paid for the full version but still cant use and keeps asking for money. Cant access what I've paid for and cant see how to chase up.

Really enjoyed some of the features but prompting to purchase full app EVERY TIME I return/go to the scale trainer window really puts me off.
