VirTimePlace is a GPS enabled Virtual Reality Player which brings you inside a 3D virtual world of historical places (complete cities or buildings) in their epoch of maximun interest, and gives you a chance to play and learn about your them.
With it you can travel, using your smatphone, tablet or VR glases, across complete ancient cities like: Classic Athens with its Acropolis and Agora, Roman Merida, Roman Cordoba, Carthago Nova (the roman Cartagena), Roman Conimbriga (at Coimbra), Medieval Aguilar de la Frontera or muslim Madinat al-zahra, as well as specific monuments like The great mosque of Cordoba at the tenth century, or the roman villa of Fuente Alamo at Puente Genil, etc. in an ever growing catalog.
VirTimePlace is not just another app with geotagged images or videos 2D or 360º. Unlike others, it gives you just 3D real time with total freedom of movement and an awesome game system called BoP (Buy or Play), designed to stimulate the knowledge of the archaeological heritage and spatial understanding.
With BoP you can populate your virtual destination with decorative elements, reserved spaces, characters, audioguides, historical scenes, etc. Feel the history attending in first-person to the meditation of the Caliph at the great mosque of Cordoba, the reception of ambassadors at Medina Azahara or the training of gladiators at the amphitheater of Mérida (summer 2017).
But the big thing occurs when you travel. If you're in the real place, you will be able to compare both, real and virtual places, to discover what has changed over the time, assisted by your device's GPS. Check it out, it's an amazing experience, which has not been possible until now.
