Virtual Villagers 6

I’ve played all of ‘last day of workI’ games, especially the virtual villager series, but this is really terrible. Wayyy too many ads and it takes too long to do anything… I’ve been at the same place for hours now with no progress or explanation as to what the next step is. A mere 24hrs after I downloaded it, I have deleted it. You really need to go back to the drawing board with this one.

I have lost progress multiple times, and I can’t see a way to save my game. I’m glad I’ve not spent money on this because I would be asking for a refund

Having played all of the previous games I was so excited to see this was here but I am so disappointed to see that it is a free to play, full of adverts and in game purchases. The virtual villager series is one of the best around, and to see it reduced to this is actually really sad. I have barely progressed as the screen is so full of the additional buttons for purchases that it is confusing and not user friendly. I don’t want an in game tutorial, I have a brain - that was something previous games understood. They are difficult and that was the fun (and frustration) and finally finding that one piece you missed made it all worth it. Yes, I am an older gamer, I am happy to pay for games in order to get quality, a screen I can actually read and a game that knows its worth. I’m not angry, just really really disappointed.

Enjoying the game - glad to see it back after so long. Was devastated when I lost my game following broadband problems but Keegan in Support was able to reinstate it within about 10 minutes. Am now nominating Keegan for President!

I’m afraid I deleted this after a couple of weeks. It’s just far too slow. I appreciate it’s meant to make you think strategically; but it’s far too dull, and it’s easy to miss tiny details unless you’re constantly digging around. I had to look up spoilers online as I was constantly stuck and there’s no hints or help available. The graphics and music are great, although the villagers’ movements are odd and they’re very slow to mobilise. I enjoyed the ‘playing god’/natural disaster feature, that was an original touch. The villagers seem to die when they’re ‘old’ (40!) very easily and there seems to be a constant plague/illness/evil spell wiping them all out. When I got down to my final two - both male, so no chance to repopulate - I just gave up and deleted it. It’s a shame, but it’s a bit of a victim of its own cleverness, i.e. it’s so difficult to work out how to play/complete challenges that it just isn’t fun or escapism…

Needs a really high amount of tech points it’s kind of impossible to play, you have to just keep them researching and leave the game for a few days to even get enough tech points. And EVERYTHING requires tech points. You need about 100,000 to get u started off to be able to do anything…

This game has so much potential to be great & it is, but the amount of tech points you have to accumulate is insane. After Level 1 it’s 100k plus points to upgrade Construction, Crafting etc & there’s essentially nothing else to do while you wait to accumulate enough. Even with 5 villagers on research you’d have to leave the app running to accumulate enough in maybe a day, as when the app is closed it only generates about 1/4 tech points vs what you’d get when the app is running. I’ve played the other virtual villagers & virtual families games, and those games are nowhere near as greedy as this one in terms of F2P.

How anyone works out how to play this game, what you have to do, or how to make anything happen, is a TOTAL mystery to me?! There are no instructions or guidance or anything! It’s just “hmm they need rope” WELL HOW DO U GET ROPE?! “Hmm the fire needs lit” WELL HOW DO U LIGHT THE FIRE?!

I’m really sad this company went the f2p way it’s just greed. Years of buying the games for it to be need spend hundreds be able to do anything. Refuse to play these types of games anymore. I hope you allow us to pay for the game in full.

This game is so confusing and hard to follow a story line. Also made 2 baby’s and then went back on the app the morning after and my 7 villagers went back to 5! Also the other villagers died as they starved which is so annoying as I don’t know how to get food for them and google doesn’t help!
