i love this so much 😭😭 i love that you can edit and remove phrases and even add categories :) i use this app whenever i go non verbal and it is super helpful however it would be better if there was a “qwerty” keyboard instead of “abc”

Please make this a QWERTY keyboard (or at least have an option of one)! It’s actually horrendous to try and write sentences in the midst of a conversation. Everything else is perfect but this is a major flaw cause I can’t right a sentence quickly if there’s something specific I wanna say and I’m non-verbal, really defeats the point of why I want this app in the first place😭

This app is the best free AAC app I have found as I cannot afford the prices ones. I use this when I cannot talk and it is really easy to use, full of useful sentences and with the inclusion of head tracking, just brilliant! However the only thing I think this could do with improving is perhaps having the option of a QWERTY keyboard? The ABC keyboard makes it quite slow to type as this isn’t a commonly used keyboard and because it means a delay in typing to find the right keys, I am often unable to keep up with the conversation. Thank you so much for this app though <3

The first thing I wanted to enter was my birthdate because that’s a standard question before seeing a doctor but there’s no option for number access in the keyboard so it has to be typed with words!

this is an amazing app! The only things i got bothered with were the voice and the slow typing. i suggest for this app have different voice types like for male and gender neutral and different types of voices in general because the default woman voice is pretty annoying and repetitive

I would give this five stars if the keyboard to type was the same as the standard keyboard and if there was a male voice option. Otherwise it’s perfect!

Hello! I Have Used Vocable For About 2-3 Months. I Have 2 Recommendations That I Think Could Improve The Overall Function Of This App. Recommendation One, Keyboard Options. I Understand That The Keyboard Used In This App Is Mainly Targeted For Both Younger Audiences And People Who Find It More Difficult To Read And Spell. I Think It Should Be Made Possible To Toggle To A Users Phone Used Keyboard To Make The App More Inclusive. As A Neurodivergent Teen And On The Older Side Of Your Audience, I Find The Apps Current Keyboard Very Difficult To Use. Other Reviewers Of My Age Range Also Have Mentioned How Frustrating The Keyboard Is To Use Due To How Slow It Is. I’m Not Saying Remove The Original Keyboard Entirely, I Am Simply Saying To Make It Possible To Use My Current Phone Keyboard As Well. My Last Recommendation Would Be The Ability To Re-Order Your Set Phrases, That Way You Can Order The Most Used Phrases To Be At The Top Of The List In A Category While The Least Used Phrases Can Be Moved To The End Of The List. This Is All I Wanted To Touch On, I Really Hope You Take My Review Into Consideration.

Overall really good and useful app but the keyboard is laid out like the alphabet instead of a normal keyboard i wish there was a way to switch it for me personally it makes me a lot slower when trying to communicate

I love this app. It makes communicating with my loved ones so much easier. I love being able to write and it speak for me. I just wish there was an option to toggle to a typical keyboard. It can be frustrating how long it takes me to type a sentence, especially when I want to quickly. I like the options of it filling in the words for me. Overall it’s been very helpful and I love it!

I love the app! I am a neurodivergent teen who’s been searching for a simple AAC application. I personally do not like the pictures on word tiles in different applications, so I like that it’s Just text. You can easily make your own word tiles and put it in different categories. You can make your own categories as well. Everything about it is great, but I do have some suggestions. The application gives you the option to manually type out your sentences, which is an awesome feature, however by default the keyboard is in alphabetical order, and not the usual QWERTY keyboard format. I think this should be a toggle feature, where users can choose between those keyboard formats. Some users can be used to the QWERTY keyboard format, and find it hard to communicate with the keyboard efficiently. I also recommend adding a feature to be able to choose a different voice, and/or choosing the app theme. Some individuals might be sensitive to different visuals. I also think the head movement feature should also be off by default, and can be enabled in settings. Other than that, I will continue to use this app, as it’s (in my opinion) the simplest AAC app in the app store! - Finley L., 16yo
