Atlas provides English words in context along with their pronunciation and synonyms. You can do many game like exercises to practice words you've learnt.
No matter how well you speak the English language, you can always learn new words and expand your knowledge of vocabulary.
You can do several game-like exercises to learn words better and collect points to unlock new word sets.
Start at your own level:
You can choose one of the three levels according to your current proficiency level.
Novice (Intermediate)
Independent (Upper- Intermediate)
Expert (Proficient)
You can change your level on your profile.
A variety of exercise types:
Atlas gives you an opportunity to practise words through several tasks.
Matching definitions:
You can do a matching exercise to work on the definitions of words.
Study the synonyms:
You can learn the synonyms of words better through ‘find the synonyms’ and ‘odd one out’ exercises.
Type-in words:
You can further work on the definitions and study the spelling of the words through a fun exercise.
Multiple Choice Practice:
Multiple choice exercises give you a chance to do further practice through different sentences and contexts.
Gap-fill Exercises:
Gap-fill exercises provide you with more context and good practice to make learning even more permanent.
Revision:
Revising what you have learned is extremely important when it comes to language learning and vocabulary retention. On Atlas, you can go back and revise your completed sets and see if you can score better.
Saved Words:
You can access your saved words any time you want on your profile.
Quizzes, Progress Tests and Module Exams:
You can keep track of your progress through the tests we prepared.
Take quizzes every 2 sets; do the progress tests every 5 sets; and take the module exams every 10 sets.
Categories:
Learning words in categories helps you thematically link the words together, so you remember them more easily. It also promotes accelerated vocabulary learning, which leads to expansion of your vocabulary in a shorter time. Atlas presents vocabulary items in categories to make learning more permanent and contribute to vocabulary growth. You can immediately start learning words from the free categories or buy more categories to learn words in context!
Subscription and Pricing:
If you choose to purchase, payment will be applied to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled within 24-hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime with your iTunes account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited if you purchase a subscription.
