Voice Change effets

I bought this app specifically for 36 €, because it was a one time purchase, now it is changed to a subscription plan for 80 € per year, so 36 € payed for nothing.

I purchased this app many years ago and it was relativly expensive. Nowadays for full functioning of the app, I am required to pay for a subscription.

Ohjelma on ollut oikein hyvä tähän asti, mutta nyt yllättäen sen toiminta yhtäkkiä lähes lakkaa, eli uusia tiedostoja ei voi lisätä enää luettavaksi maksamatta uutta tilausmaksua. Luotto meni, täytyy etsiä jokin muu keino lukemiseen.

Aiemmin täydet 5 tähteä, mutta uusissa päivityksissä oma selain on lopetettu ja safarista siirto Voicedreamiin tökkii pahasti. Käytän siksi Chromea. Muuten. Erittäin hyvä ja monipuolinen ohjelma. Käytän päivittäin: Hesarin, pdf:ien, pidempien sähköpostien, blogien, Word dokumenttien, uutiskirjeiden etc lukuun. Kerään kätevästi lukulistalle kuunneltavaa esim työmatkan ajaksi. On todellakin hintansa väärtti. Kannattaa lisäksi ostaa erillinen suomenkielinen puheääni, joka on paljon miellyttävämpi kuin Applen oma ääni.

Way too expensive

The price is good but both the “emotions” and the “naturalness” of the voices (even Acapella ones) is simply below of what some other apps out there offer.

Reads quite nicely aloud. But bookmarking tool fights back; very hard to select text and the actual bookmark may include characters that were not selected. I wish there were a way to bookmark in text mode and even edit the text.

Would be great if this app has free test version instead of paying 20€ and then realize that the app is not so great. The voices available are all sounding like robots, not natural voices at all. The app has free voices, the ones that comes withing the iPhone IOS, but they are unusable garbage, so basically you have to buy a new voice with 4,99€. There are Available voices for many languages and from couple of Voice providers. The Acapela voices are crap, the Ivona is a bit better but still crap. If you still want to buy this crap app, try the voices from NeoSpeech. I think they are close to natural but still the robotic sound is hearable, which makes it also crap. Also I noticed that if the sentence is long, the app will read it through without ”breathing”. Natural reader would have small pauses, breaths, is alive. This bothers me so much that I can’t use this app. Example of good online voice reader: try Windows 10 Edge browser Read-Aloud feature with the voices that are marked as Online voices. And it is even free to use. That has natural voice, try it and then compare with these crappy apps. Can I get my money back?

Voice Dream may not be as cheap as some alternatives, but having tried various options starting from iOS built-in screen reader to various try-before-you-buy apps, I can’t but recommend Voice Dream for those with limited vision. Some other reviewers might disagree, but I find the way Voice Dream spaces sentences about as right as I could hope for. However, this is not an option you can change to your liking at the moment; so, be warned if you like to fiddle with hiatus between sentences. As for the voices available for purchase I have no opinion, since I’m accustomed to one of the voices coming with every iOS device. All in all a great app for the visually limited.

This text-to-speech app is higher than what I expected! It's much better than the other famous app. I don't want to name it, but it's extremely expensive, and it has even limited high quality voices. This app is better because once you buy it, it's forever yours and you even get one high quality voice for free, limitless. And if you desire, you can buy more high quality voices that are amazing! Also you can easily import from Medium articles or PDF books to it, I can't stress enough how great this app is. I recommend it above all else.
