Looks like I'm experiencing a problem other users have had since 10 years ago. Which means it hasn't been fixed. I'm wondering why? Either way, it's something I've dealt with for the past year which makes it extremely difficult to use the App as it keeps closing. Please find someone capable enough to fix it permanently.

This app is a nightmare. It’s full of glitches and technical issues and wastes so much of the users time. I wouldn’t bother if it wasn’t my college’s preferred mode of interaction. That said, I can see how the underpinning concept could be useful. But as it stands, it’s so fussy and temperamental that it’s near ineffective.

I love this app - and Have seen its potential to work for me as an educator......but i Can't get it to work properly consistently....current problem is that it closes seconds after opening....and I've tried all the suggestions from resetting to reinstalling to closing all apps nothing seems to work... So I'm switching to screen casting until it can work again...other problems have been videos taking too long to export only received support 24 hours after my query was lodged, which is not unacceptable...but given my urgent need for the videos was frustrated when I received an email saying that I needed an upgraded accont to receive technical support which I feel is unfair considering that I pay for credits and exports... So for me currently the rating is one star....

I’m not one to complain like this on the AppStore, but this app is genuinely the worst. My first time trying to upload something it didn’t even tell me I couldn’t access it because I didn’t download it, it gave me error code after error code. And I just did my second upload in it, half the time the continue button is greyed out for no reason, you have to continue to reopen the assignment from your blackboard to even be able to open it again. It truly is the worst and I hope after this class I never have to use it again.

what the title says

I have taken multiple online asynchronous college courses in which required me to utilize VoiceThread. Unfortunately, this app is beyond unusable and makes it near impossible to get my work done. The audio decides not to work half of the time when listening back, the reply button does not work 90% of the time, and it crashes CONSTANTLY. This is so frustrating please do something to fix this horrible app that I am forced to use to participate it class….

The speaker box that can’t be removed constantly blocks the PowerPoint

It deleted my whole project for class that I spent so much time on after i posted it. I have to redo it now. Slow app. Many technical difficulties.

It’s slow, clunky and takes forever to even start playing videos if they ever load.

This app has been broken for over a year (it is 2024 right now). It will not open assignments, it brings you to a blank page. My university knows this, is aware of it, and continues to use it. They told me to get a windows device :/. VoiceThread doesn’t allow you to use a web version on iPhone or iPad, rendering them useless for VoiceThread assignments, which I have 2x a week. Now the app also says it is out of date, and to update the app. However, the last ‘update’ was 7 months ago! If any universities read this - please rethink using this and find something else. It is broken and needs to be discontinued. You are only isolating students further.
