Volcanoes and Earthquakes
Exceptionally helpful when traveling in Indonesia, where it sits on the Ring of Fire. We used this app as a reference when deciding when to go up the volcanic mountains and when we felt tremors.

# Displays 7 days of seismic activity (M4+) around the globe.
# Shows weekly volcanic activity as published by Smithsonian Institution.
# Displays tectonic plates' boundaries on the map.
# Displays large airports on the map and provides basic information about them.
# Allows to customise volcanic alerts to get notifications for one volcano, for a region or for a whole country.
# Shows local earthquakes (M1+) for the areas of interest.
# Draws range rings on the map to simplify distance measurement.
# The app displays basic volcanic activity info on Today Widget and on Apple Watch.

I love this app!
Paid $15 for the app to stop working
It doesn’t even say Erebus is erupting, yet it is. Links in the app direct you nowhere. Why have webcam links that make me have to restart my phone? I thought paying for ALL the extra features might help the situation (they ask you to pay for SOME of the extra features for 4.99 then make you pay an additional $8.99 for more of the extra features. Again, unclear what features this unlocks, as now the app won’t even work when I click on anything.

Handy app
Constant alerts; no way to turn them off!
I tried to set this up for no alerts, but I constantly get alerts all day long. I’ve gone into settings and selected no alerts, but nothing changes. It seems the only way to get rid of the alerts is to give up the money I’ve spent and delete the app. Seems ridiculous and a waste of money.
