Idea is great however product and app are useless. App fails to connect to wifi. Most times Can’t ever find my wifi when trying to reconnect and when I finally get it to connect to wifi it can’t find the volt safe devise. You need to be connected to both wifi and Bluetooth to use the app with the devise Canada is a cold climate and need to override a schedule at anytime. I would suggest making the product work on either Bluetooth or wifi not needing both

The App functionality has gone a long way since it's release. Looks like the developers have been listening to the feedback submitted by customers on the feature request page! Nice work :)

Bought the plug at Canadian Tire hoping for good results. I did everything the app asked me to do and when it came to connect to my Wifi 6 router nothing. I even changed the settings for the 2.4 GHz signal to WPA 2 password only, switched it to legacy N only but still it won’t connect. If you have wifi router that is not Wifi 6 compatible but older an older style router than I think you should be ok. I will be returning the plug.

Bought a few of the Voltsafe Winter plugs. Worked awesome. Make sure your phone is connected to 2.4 wifi before connecting app. Once gone can go back to 5g. Fabulous and fast support. Got an old inventory unit that would not connect. Within a day had response from support and we did a special update to bring it to current firmware. As good as new. Thanks Manni. J’utilisais la fiche magnétique avec une prise intelligente mais depuis 2 semaine la fiche magnétique ne passe plus le courant donc j’ai essayé l’app et rien à faire, impossible de me brancher au wifi 2.4, l’opération échoue à tout les fois… j’ai donc une fiche magnétique inutile…

Although it is unfortunate that they took out bluetooth scheduling, you can still get around this by hot spotting with your phone. There are a few areas of improvement in terms of fonts on different screen sizes but it’s getting closer and closer to a polished product. Keep it going!

The on/off switch is awesome - and very easy to set a recurring schedule (which is a much appreciated feature). Good job guys!

I have a dedicated 2.4HGz network, my phone links to Bluetooth as soon as I open the VoltSafe app and the app says still cannot connect. Not impressed. $100+ block heater cord that is no longer functional. Wish the app had features like, if this isn’t connecting try looking for these things. Or a help link, or a video. Any type of troubleshooting support. And maybe the new volt safe connectors should get the 5ghz chip installed. I can’t think of any routers that any household has that are specifically not 2.4 and 5 ghz mesh. I’m fortunate enough I have commercial grade network that I can have multiple networks including a 2.4hgz network for iot devices. I loved my VoltSafe not so happy right now. I’ll change my review if they fix this or help me out to get this working.

The voltsafe device doesn't work a lot of the time when connected. The app says it found it and sent a schedule but the plug doesn't flow power at the set time. Or the app can't find it until it's unplugged for a moment and plugged back in. It's flaky. Also, every time power is lost all programming is gone. Sure, that's clearly stated in the app. But I think the device should default to flowing power when it is reconnected so if there's a power failure overnight you wake up to a car that's been warming too long rather than not at all. A magnetically activated plug was brilliant but it should have stopped there. Adding a Bluetooth app controlled timer that doesn't work ruined the product. If it acted like a basic cord and flowed power whenever the magnetic head was connected you could use any other timer or wifi controlled outlet instead.

App doesn’t allow manual on/off. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Schedule doesn’t allow exclusion of Sat & Sun. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Rubber cap on hardware doesn’t stay shut, leaving the electrical contacts open to the elements & road salt. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #SMH
