Volv – News in 9 seconds

Great curation, very relevant to the younger generation Perfectly crafted summaries Beautiful and easy to use UI No unnecessary fluff saves me a lot of time LOVE THE APP!

Love the app so far. Some feedback and potential improvement: If you exit the app and open it again, I start reading the article/bits that was on the screen, however after 5-6 seconds it automatically refreshes and removes the old article that I started reading. Instead of it refreshing the current article being viewed, it would be better if it refreshes with latest news from the next swipe down (kind of like clearing the current queue and adding a new updated queue) It’s a bit annoying if I found a headline really interesting, and just as I start reading it disappears and I can’t finish it.

We don’t need more apps guys. You have great content but the app is unnecessary and clumsy to use

This is a really good way to find stories you wouldn’t have otherwise, and the app is very well made and user friendly. It would be nice if I could pick other than US news, hence the four stars, but that’s something I hope they can work on in future updates!

This is a really interesting app. It’s whole premise is to both reduce noise from news articles so they can be consumed in 9 seconds (per article) but also intelligently adjusts to only product the facts in order to reduce bias. Quite a feat which it does well. It’s something the media industry should be doing anyway but until then, I’m glad this app exists. It’s well designed, doesn’t ask lots of personal questions and gets the job done. It’s a fairly new app so the number of feed categories are a little limited at the moment but the main ones are there and they will no doubt expand quickly as more users get onboard. I’d recommend giving this app a try and see what you think.

This app is great i like its way of giving news but I wish it was more worldwide news instead kf just American news app and a bit of worldwide.

Puts random knowledge into the hands of hands others. Encourages knowledge seekers to create and share. Great app.

This is my first time ever writing an app review because I’m so confused and upset. The point of the app was to give short, 9 second summaries of news so you can remain informed. I really liked it as it allowed me to scroll on it like a social media app, but instead of brainrot it allowed me know what’s going on in the world. It was awesome because it encouraged remaining informed and curiosity. If you wanted to know more about the topic whose news you just read, you could simply tap and it would take you to the source. I loved it because it would encourage me to learn more. But now, the feature to go to the source is gone…? Like, what’s the point anymore? How do I know if what I’m reading is legit? What’s the source? It’s frustrating if I want to read more and now I can’t. I don’t understand why they took that feature away :(

I have loaded dozens of news apps over the years. Most of those apps had famous names associated with the app. But I have only two or three that I still use. Volv is well written and in my opinion one of the best “ headline” news apps It will have a place on my Home Screen.

It is kind of creepy, though. No one, not even the president, should be making decisions based on seven seconds worth of information.
