VSCO: Photo & Video Editor

I’ve been a VSCO fan since 2011 probably when they released FILM presets for Lightroom which are now abused by many photographers and discontinued long ago. I happily supported them by purchasing yearly subscription of this app, however I decided to quit this practice today for several reasons. User interface is horrible and hasn’t been updated for a while. Seems like nobody is actually developing this app. Usability is slow, stripped of any logic and simply not user oriented or friendly. There are beta features (like remove) that have been beta for three or four years. And now there are a few new presets someone decided to name PRO and charge triple for per year. Milking this cow has to end somewhere. Something’s gotta give. It’s time to seriously revamp this app and give it proper features that justify the price tag. Otherwise you’re paying Netflix subscription for an app that’s been developed in 2019 and hasn’t moved since.

After a decade of use I honestly can’t believe what the app has turned into. I enjoyed my experience up until a year ago when you turned it into this laggy, glitchy, unusable nonsense. No help from your customer service either and it’s been getting worse with each new update. If nothing changes, I will be forced to cancel my subscription.

I’ve been using VSCO app for 12 years now and the app was better when I first installed it. What are these developers doing? I am paying for my yearly subscription and the app is just not functioning. It crashes all the time, it’s so slow, I can’t save any of my photos to my camera roll, then what’s the point of editing them? Definitely not worth it, especially if you’re paying a subscription. Will cancel it for sure.

Used to be my fave app, now they took away half the features so you have to pay. cheap as hell

I’ve been a Plus subscriber for years, but since Pro was introduced, I get annoying pop-ups to try it every day, sometimes more than once a day. Do the developers really think that pestering us non-stop will make people pay for the Pro version? At this point I’m considering dropping my existing subscription since I don’t want advertising pop-ups if I’m paying for software. What a sad mess this has become.

I mean…

since 2016. i’ve had this app mainly because of the grain filter, and now they lock it and say that i need to buy PREMIUM in order to use it???!?!?!?? it’s literally the only reason i’ve had this app for years, but now i uninstalled it. you will probably have to start paying for just downloading the app.

Just can't believe that some basic editing tools (grain, lights, tone...) are part of subscription now. Also 2 best filters. Now this app is only taking my phone's memory space for nothing. Totally disappointing..
