WalkSafe+ is the UK's leading personal safety app which combines journey-sharing features and a national Safe Space map. The map plots safety-trained venues across the UK in partnership with Local Authorities and Businesses that offer safety facilities such as phone charging stations and free period products, enabling our users to find help in real-time while on their commute home. WalkSafe+ has a suite of tracking and non-tracking features available, which enables trusted friends to follow your live journey should you need it.
With WalkSafe+ you can…
• See safe space settings across the country that have been trained in Ask for Angela, Best Bar None, or Active Bystander (to name a few) so you can enjoy a safer experience out with friends and family.
• Share local community concerns with the WalkSafe+ map to alert other users of issues such as poor lighting, large crowds, or restricted road access.
• Find live nighttime support within your local community such as street marshalls/ pastors/angels on the WalkSafe+ map.
• Build your trusted circle of Friends, who can view your location or ETA when you choose to share it and share their own journeys. Functionality includes automatic notifications of a user’s last known location.
• Activate the SOS button, alerting all of your trusted friends of your live location.

Error creating an account
Problem with creating a password to open an account. Followed the 8 letters, one Capital, one lowercase, 1 number and one $pecial character and I get the password error (the prompt in pink) Tried various combinations nothing works. So odd.
So much safer
I really like the app, it makes me feel safer when out for runs and out at work travelling around the country my partner or parents can track me and i often do get delayed and having them check in on me because i didn’t make it to a place when i said i would is so comforting. Have been telling my boss to get it for us when we are out alone! Thank you
The latest version is even better and so easy to use
The safe spaces appearing on the map seem to be all over the UK and are a fantastic idea. Love the trusted friends and journey sharing . Thanks WalkSafe
Free and easy to use app
The only app that plots safe spaces, is free and national. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Don’t leave the house without it on!
Amazing app gives me reassurance when traveling and knowing what’s safe spots around me! Also having the SOS feature and follow me for when having to separate from others in evenings!
Love this app
This is such a great idea. It gives me such peace of mind when out and about, knowing my friends can see my journeys and if I press SOS they’ll know where I am. Just love it
Nice idea, crashes often, wouldn’t trust
Crashes constantly, using the follow me feature with a friend and no map renders and/or it crashes. Possible to enter UI flows without being able to go back, usually followed by another crash. Would not like to depend on this app to find someone in an emergency, nice idea but rushed/flawed implementation.
cant really see the crime map
this app would be much better if you could turn off the safety map and actually see the crime map. because all of the safety places are constantly turned on no matter what, seeing where crime has actually happened is borderline impossible and doesn’t fill me with security. i’d like to know where to avoid before i’m actually about to walk through it so that i can plan alternative routes way in advance.
Tech Problems
Tried to register several times now and every time it crashes! 🤷🏼♀️ doesn’t bode well does it?
