Flexible customisation - strange billing model
TLDR: [+] Highly configurable, [+] moderate feature set, [+] doesn’t force app branding in created passes, [+] background iCloud syncing, [-] unclear billing model (credits). Walletsmith delivers in its flexibility of use. The customisation is outstanding; from different pass types, background / text colours, icons / images, and the ability to fully remove app branding from passes, make this the most configurable integrator for apple wallet. If like me you’re looking to store your loyalty cards in apple wallet, it important to note the app does have some technical constraints around certain barcode types (imposed by apple wallet, albeit circumnavigated by using images of barcodes which the app supports moderately well with the exception of auto brightness in apple wallet). The app has background iCloud syncing, which is not surfaced in the app but configurable via your iCloud settings. There’s a monthly subscription which gives unlimited apple wallet passes and a ‘credit’ system, which isn’t all that clear. The terminology implies you get one apple wallet sync per credit but ultimately the are no details provided around how pass updates, removal, or syncing on another device work. Some clarification in the credits or q&a section would be appreciated.
