Warframe

So, i’ve played Warframe for quite a few years and this is an amazing game. However, the mobile adaptation of interface and gameplay is just very disappointing. And i’ve been trying it every now and then since mobile release. In MY opinion, the best way to play this game is on the console with big screen with controller so you can appreciate the cinematic gameplay with adaptive controls that support the game. The PC comes after that so i can trade and communicate with friends easier. Back to mobile. Basically, any mid~late game contents involving missions with high level enemies (Steel path, etc) or large open maps is unplayable on the mobile. I am not able to do even a quarter of the movements and fighting that i’m able to do on PC or console which is understandable since it’s mobile version, but this leads to frustration and constant out of bounds reset + more bugs. The melee heavy attack button is glitched/not on the screen most of the time so i cannot use Glaive type melee weapons. Also, any cross play players on different consoles are not able to join into my session(and i’m not able to join any other sessions), so even if i’m playing with public matchmaking, i’m playing solo 99.9% of the time with the occasional “teammate has left the squad” messages popping up. As of right now the only reason for me to have the mobile version is just to do some stuff that you can’t do on the Warframe Companion app, which is alert missions(limited to low level missions) and customizing warframe or logging in for rewards. I understand that this is an immensely large game and i’m surprised that it’s even playable on the iPhone, but barely. It’s still early in the phase for mobile so i’m hoping to see more improvements that makes high level gameplay viable in the future. Maybe it’s ok for low level contents catered for newer players, i’m not too sure.

It is amazing that they were able to bring a game of this magnitude to iOS. The graphics, matchmaking, and story are all top notch.

I play with a PS5 controller on an M1 ipad pro, and performance is amazing, am able to play on 60 fps with fairly high graphics and little stutter. However, it is very difficult to fully enjoy the game as when i am in menus, it is very buggy and difficult to use. For example, in many cases I cannot pick any options on the left side of the screen. In the duviri paradox quest i couldn’t choose any decrees on the left side of the screen. When trying to upgrade a mod for my weapons, the filter buttons and useless because you can’t pick mods on the left, so you have to scroll through every mod you own. I have this issue whether I am using the controller or using the touchscreen (I actually find the controller to have more issues with the menus). Having a mobile app could be very useful for trading while away from my pc, but because of the terrible menu experience, I doubt this can happen at the moment. Overall a decent port, but this one bug is stopping the game from really being a viable mobile experience.

My reason for the three stars is because I tried contacting DE to delete my cell phone account so I can connect my Xbox account to play on my cell phone with my Xbox account and I haven’t received an email of confirmation about the issue, because I really want to play my Xbox account on the go without using the actual Xbox app, other then that, I want to give 4 1/2 stars

Warframe is a console, pc game and very hardware intensive for mobile devices, the controls are very well done for how the movement is designed but the game just wasn’t designed for mobile. I really like being able to hop on my Warframe account when I’m out of town and get things done that are time gated. If you’re not playing Warframe already on console or PC I do not recommend this game. If you are I 100% recommend as it’s super easy to check things and do simple tasks away from home.

Amazing. UI could be a little bigger otherwise 5/5 but it’s basically exactly the same as on pc and console.

Very good game, beautiful, great story, good port to iOS, the touch controls are not useful at all, this game is far too complicated for it to work, it’s a very grind/ farming type game, it’s frustrating how long things take, and platinum is only viable on sale,(you need platinum for weapon/Warframe slots very least) it’s a grind , you need this, to get this, then you need to get more, then more, then wait literally days for things to be able to use it, if you have an open slot, and if you have the mastery rank to use them. easy to lose yourself in grinding away hours, then find another thing to spend hours grinding for, it’s rather addictive.

Stopped playing. Stuck at rank 8 due to horrible control Can’t play any space mission (warfare stuck) Even when it works, it’s all about grinding. most disappointing only return when this game will be controllable
