Watch Tracker

Beschreibung

Watch Tracker is a revolutionary app for tracking the accuracy of a wristwatch. It's dramatically easier and more accurate than any previous method.
Just tap a button when the time on your watch matches the time displayed by the app, and Watch Tracker does the rest. It synchronizes with an atomic clock, measures and records the difference, and displays graphs of all the data points you've recorded.
- Uses best-fit analysis to accurately calculate how many seconds your watch gains or loses per day
- Displays graphs of rates and variance
- Can track multiple watches simultaneously
- Saves data in CSV files that can be opened with any spreadsheet software
Watch Tracker is made by the developer of tChess (the chess app that was featured in Apple's "Learn" commercial for the iPad) and Learn Chess (the Apple Staff Favorite e-book).

Fantastic App

I've been using a different atomic clock app for years and doing what this app does manually. That app is no longer available so I looked around for something to meet my needs. This was exactly what I was looking for and the paid version was worth every penny. If you are looking for this type of app you know what you are looking for. Just GET this. It does exactly what you want it to.

Best app for true watch rate

I’ve been using this app for years. I find making 2 runs simultaneously is very useful. In one I’ll track twice a day: morning and evening. And in parallel a 2nd run with 5-6x per week. You really see the difference in ‘night stand’ and wearing rates. Best part is I tracked my Rolex continuously for 8 yrs. And it averaged about 0-2 sec per day. And then there was a distinct change in accuracy. That’s the trigger for service. And it was quite obvious over 1-2 weeks that it was erratic, unlike the previous many years. Randomly loosing 5-6 sec in a day, and not everyday. So very high marks to this app. Finally, the time grapher indicated 5-6 sec per day. But wearing it, this app returned true performance.

Erratic

Impossible to consistently click the screen at the right time and get accurate results. I have my watch set to be exactly the same as the clock on the iPhone. The seconds hands are in sync. Sometimes the app says my watch is fast and sometimes it says it’s slow, but this is because of when I’m clicking the screen and is not a measure of the accuracy of my watch. I also wonder if there’s a bug in the way things are calculated. For example after a few days of doing periodic time checks the app says my watch is -1.8 spd. It also says my iPhones clock is .068 seconds slow. However the seconds hand on my watch and the iPhone clocks seconds hands are still 100% synched up. How does -1.8 spd make any sense? It doesn’t. I can’t remember how much I bought this app for or if it was free but it’s being removed from my phone. If I’m ever worried my watch isnt keeping time I’ll buy a timeographer. As it is I know it’s very accurate as it’s keeping the same time as the iPhones clock, down to the second.

Great app, with no tracking!

Decided to pay for this app rather than grab a free one, specifically because the free ones have multiple labels for things they track you on and I'd pay $5 any day to have zero tracking like this one. App is simple but effective, my only tweaks I'd like to see would be: Toggle for the atomic clock to be shown somewhere on the home screen, currently you have to go to the settings for syncing your phone with it OR be adding a data point to see it. Would be nice to be able to have it live throughout the app somewhere or on the home screen as optional. The other is that autocorrect doesn't seem to really work in the text boxes for data point comments. Not really a big issue but wanted to let the dev know! Great app, not really much I'd change 👍

Excellent for the amateur/on the go collector..! I track accuracies on all my mechanical (and quartz) watches. I’ve had the app for over a year and it is very useful. It allows me to not only track the accuracy but also can be used to keep documentation of all my watches particulars and a photo of each watch. I can instantly tell if the watch I’m wearing is fast or slow and how many seconds per day it is currently running at. Well worth the inexpensive cost!

Perfect for the watch obsessed

I have several mid grade diver watches. Most are eta movements but a few Seiko nh 36’s. I have been regulating my own watches for years. This app gives me useful information in a well designed format. Thank you and keep up your great work.

Hard to imagine a better way to do this.

It will also help with your shutter finger timing 😁

My best paid app

I love this app. It’s simplicity, it’s usefulness, you get everything you need and nothing else. The best of all is that the developer really listened to customers feedback and spent time to make the app even better. Hands down the best app and experience I have ever had.

Needs update

Watch tracker app has been good for years until recently. Now it will not load and crashes frequently. I have removed and reinstalled the app twice with the same issue. Please update and repair bugs! Thank you.

Definitely a worthwhile app

I was hesitant to purchase this app given it’s been 3 years since it’s last update. I didn’t want to purchase another orphaned app with no support or updates, so I reached out to the developer prior to purchasing to express my concerns. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a prompt response from the developer who assured me the app is fully supported having a full feature set meeting the needs of his user base. He also stated in the event a future iOS update caused any issues he would promptly address any problems that arose. He also hinted some small enhancements may be coming in the future. Based upon this exchange I purchased the app and while I’ve only been using it a couple of days I can confirm it’s definitely more effective and streamlined than the timing method I’d been using. WatchTracker’s definitely a worthwhile purchase for anyone looking to better understand how the watches in their collection are performing. I’m looking forward to any future updates the developer may have in mind.
