Make it possible to add apps, this unit is so outdated it’s not funny
Useless
Never works.
KENWOOD DNX9190 DABS
Essentially don't buy. No tech support or when you do call Kenwood Australia you get a bored disinterested techie. The remote? Uuuum well I can only use it to change volume, yes there are a myriad of buttons on it but 90% of them are of no practical use, there is an arrow pad that doesn't do anything, which would have helped when navigating the screen menus. Screen resolution is good, sound is ok but all in all when driving you just want simple and intuitive experience. Yep apple carplay is fairly good (in fact use this only!!) BUT it will not mirror on an apple device.
Fix or replace
Major update required. WebLink is so buggy. Disconnect. Reconnect still not working properly. Reset. Restart. Shouldn’t be like this. Have to click allow to connect every time. Surely this can be a setting to avoid this every time. =============== The above is the same review as a year ago. One star is too generous. Recognise faults and find a fix for customers.
Needs an update
After recently purchasing a kenwood stereo headunit & reading numerous reviews, I believe that this application is long overdue for an update to fix all the bugs and glitches. iPhone XS Max screen goes blank when trying to use Waze, continually asking to allow connection when it should only link up once.

NOT WORKING 😡😡😡😡😡
Not all features work
Purchased a Kenwood DMW718WBT for the WebLink and Waze apps capability. Have been through many updates on this app and still get no sound through the head unit when using Waze. Such an important future on this head unit to offer GPS capability and doesn’t work properly. Very disappointed that this issue still exists after having the stereo for 10 months.
Very buggy
Using iPhone X on a KENWOOD DMX8018S. WebLink is riddled with bugs. Everything from blank screens, freezing to YouTube rarely playing content. Very poor app. Not to mention not being able to run the app in the background. You have to have your phone unlocked and the app open. The only disappointing feature of the radio is the WebLink feature. Running latest version of iOS and WebLink app as well as the latest version of KENWOOD radio firmware.
