WedAssist was designed by a former bride & current wedding professional to help you feel like you have a planner in your pocket throughout your planning journey. The app will guide you through a series of questions that will help ensure that you leave no aspect of your event forgotten, including walking you through the uploading of pertinent event information that your vendors will need to best serve you on your wedding day.
A note from our founder, Christine Olive:
“I realized after designing my own wedding, and now working as a professional wedding planner, that a simple checklist was not enough of a tool to help me to be less stressed through the process of getting to my big day. I knew there had to be something better. There had to be something that could help keep me organized and help me to stay in good communication with my vendors. But when I searched online, all I found were checklists and vendor ads. While these can be helpful, it was still up to me to think of every single detail, make all the selections, collect all my thoughts and decisions, and get them out of my head and into a document – to then send out multiple emails to get all the right information out to all the right people. When I couldn’t find a solution for this, I created my own. WedAssist is a one-of-a-kind wedding planning app that guides you through the planning process while also allowing you to connect to your planner (if you’re using one) right within the app. Just consider this app your Assistant of Honor! - Data collection that is used to create your custom event file, including: detailed vendor information, customizable reserved ceremony seating diagram, processional order list, personal decor list, portrait shot list, reception entrance order list, table breakdown list, upload options for your event floorplans, and more.
Your Custom Event File: WedAssist automatically generates a personalized event file for you using the information you’ve input within the app. You can instantly view and share your entire event file (or specific pieces of event information), making it easy to share your event information with your vendor team. Does your day of coordinator need all your event information? We’ve got you covered! Your photographer wants a list of the portrait combinations you would like taken on your big day? No problem! Your DJ needs the order that the wedding party will be introduced in for the reception? We’ve got that too! Just click on your event file, select the information you’d like to share and easily send it to them directly from your device.
Custom timeline creation tool: The timeline tool uses information that you’ve input throughout various areas of the app, as well as prompts you to input participating vendors, desired photos, catering timing, and formalities you’d like included on your wedding day, to generate a timeline template catered to your event. Once you’ve selected the items that pertain to your unique event, simply add/edit times and add any additional items you’d like included on your timeline to complete your wedding timeline. Your timeline will then be included within your custom event file.
Planner Connection: WedAssist has the ability to connect you with a wedding planner who has a WedAssist account. When you connect with your planner, they are granted access to your event information, allowing them to view your event file, review the information you’ve input into your questionnaire, view your color palette and inspiration photos, update information as needed, keep track of where you are on your checklist and more. You can also chat with your planner within the app by creating custom threads to keep your conversations organized in one convenient place.
