Wedding photo app by Wedbox

I signed up, my account got linked to a wedding, then I tried uploading photos. About ⅓ of the photos said the upload failed, so I had to go back and keep trying again and again and remembering which photos failed. Ridiculous. Then the next time I opened the app it had logged me out, and when I tried to login again with email and password it said the password was wrong (it absolutely wasn’t). So then I tried to create a new account using the Apple login but it said my email was already associated with an account, but then it logged me into that account anyway, LOL!

I set up a Wedbox account for my wedding and now when I log in, it says I have no weddings. It works if I join it as a guest but it is frustrating. Every time I close the app, I have to log in again, meaning I have to find the guest code and type it in every single time! Also, I took lots of photos on a camera and sent them to my phone and there is no option to upload these to Wedbox. Wedbox can only access my phone’s camera roll, and no other albums on my phone (like recents), which seems really stupid and limiting. I would not recommend this app.

Charges you an excessive amount to see photos of your own wedding then crashes whenever you hit download?!?! Awful awful app. I’ll wait for our official set. Wish I’d never bothered.

I don’t know if there’s a problem with the Apple version of the app but none of the bottoms to upgrade work at all, the page just freezes when you click on them. Great app but if I can’t set up a download then it will be no good for us

Easy enough to use, easy to download and use.

Love the app, but the photos loose the high tea when you save them making them a bit blurry / pixelated.

Love this app - brought back so many happy memories of our special day- and enables us to see everyone else’s pics which was great! This is a must have app for your wedding!

Firstly, I wasn’t aware I had to pay anything for or within the app when I downloaded and encouraged everyone attending my wedding to do the same. It’s 100% free to use (in so far as adding pics, wether it’s your wedding or you’re a guest) and you can save images 1 at a time from the app to your camera roll/gallery for free. We had around 350 pics uploaded by us/our guests. 1 pic at a time isn’t ideal. So I stumped up the £20 that would allow me to have a link sent via email. Clicking the link downloads all photos (we had no videos uploaded) in a zip folder. The link itself can only be used once, but you can have unlimited links sent to you. I didn’t like that there was no mention of any cost involved until I went to download the images, but as it’s considerably cheaper than an ‘official’ photographer I didn’t mind too much. When I unpacked the zip folder, 116 images wouldn’t open! That’s nearly a third of the images!! After trying a few things (different programs, different laptops etc) I contacted Wedbox and explained the issue. The reply - less than 24hrs later I might add - suggested it was due to some guests have ‘live photos’ turned on and that if I download a small program (which was not only free but linked to in the email) I could convert the problem pics. It worked! Basically, 4* for the app (it’s not 100% intuitive, and that cost issue) but boosted to 5* due to that perfect example of how support SHOULD be done. Well done Wedbox, thank you for the memories!

Quite good but crashes when uploading more than four photos at once

I’m posting this review, which I do faraway, because of Wedbox’s notifications system, so developers please take note. If you want daily content free notifications (“why not share this app with someone you know getting married?”) then this is the app for you. If you want a free photo-sharing app, not so much. I downloaded this for some friends to help share pics on their big day. A bunch of us chipped photos into the mix and the couple then found that they couldn’t be downloaded without not-insignificant cost. No problem with not being free, but the app should be more upfront. And harassing your users with vapid, irritating reminders does not make me feel warm and fuzzy towards your app.
