Very nice app! Hope it’ll continue to grow.
I can’t believe this app is free... This was free, right? Because seeing the content made me doubt myself. Maybe I forgot that I paid for it? Anyway, thank you for this amazing app!
love it!!
Needed !
I am amazed by this app its very interesting and i love that you can download audiobooks Overall very good app
Great quotes, links, and design. Only downside is the app feels a bit politicized: it emphasizes activists and Lefty thinkers that are usually taught in “studies” departments, i.e., Marxist-derivative and postmodern activists (although there are also postmodern philosophers) that engage in deductive theorizing by applying Marxist concepts to their chosen focus regardless of whether philosophical coherence is maintained. In other words, the theories studied in sociology and various “studies” departments—the pamphleteers in addition to the philosophers. But according to this app you would think the pamphleteers hold as much of a role in philosophy as the philosophers. But overall a great and fun app.
If you told me I had to only have one app on my phone, I’d have a hard time picking between this one and the phone app.
When I go to the external links on Wikipedia or Stanford for a number of the Philosophers listed, it goes to a 404 page. The summaries are good, the key ideas are also good. This has the potential to be a good resource for someone to learn philosophy, but really gets handicapped if all the links don’t work.
The title says it all. Brilliant! Fantastic! Thank you!
I don’t ever, but as a lover of the art, philosophy is in really good hands here. Objective, clear, and direct, the app presents a collection of ways to engage with the titanic thinkers of the past. I would only say that by including eastern thinkers(maybe some major ones?) we can also see the inspiration for western thinkers, such as Schopenhauer.
