Terrible app 9/10 times cant book it just now tried to book and the app is having ‘technical issues’. I’ve had my bus ‘cancelled by me’ when Im asleep and obviously haven’t and called up to successfully make a booking only for it to never turn up. Don't get me started on the customer service when you call wondering why the booking has suddenly disappeared. Disgraceful areas are left without proper public transport like this especially for the disabled and elderly, should be illegal.
It’s actually a joke how we are left to depend on getting to work with such a lousy bus service, it doesn’t matter if you book at a certain time because they will just cancel it if the driver can’t be bothered to do the drop. Absolute joke never any when you need one and if you get one be prepared to wait ages before the driver even thinks about your stop. Had a booking for 5pm walked all the way there and got cancelled by the driver even though I was there 20mins early, but still ended up having to walk 7 miles in the rain to get home, all the while 2 WESTlink buses past me, Absolute joke. Lazy drivers lazy system. Like I said the worst bus service I have ever come across.

When WESTlink was first introduced it was a marvellous idea and would help many people with its low costs, easy to book rides and simplicity. However in the past two months I haven’t been able to book a WESTlink of which arrives to my destination on time, now I understand this may be due to traffic etc. but there has been more than enough times of which I have had my WESTlink cancelled without a reason and without enough time to book other transport, has made me wait an extra thirty minutes at the bus stop without reasoning or a message to tell me that it is running extremely late. It also seems impossible to be able to book a WESTlink anymore, there have been a serious amount of times of which I have had to be late to work, meetings, being stranded somewhere with no way home or having to spend £30 on an uber. This service is starting to really frustrate me and I have had enough. I shan’t be using this service anymore unless it changes drastically for the better for the public.
So bad service nowadays in BRISTOL the rider doesn’t have the card machine. And the drivers are telling us to carry cash. But if you are telling “ concessionary Card/Cash “ than why are you always expecting the cash?? if you dont have the card machine you should remove card from the payment method.
Booking west link rides “now” on the app never really works, theres usually no rides, but I guess you just have to book the rides in advanced which is fine. I just wish the tracking on the map was more accurate, because I could of missed my ride if I didn't run downstairs because it said on the map that it was further away.
Nice driving with WESTlink
in the morning i check my app and it says nothing about my bus that i have booked when i booked it for 7:50. At 7:30 it says “your bus will be here in 5 mins” and i have to run to the bus stop. then when i get to the bus stop, it says “your bus will be here in 7 mins” and stays at the exact same location it was 15 mins ago. It then stays at the same place for 10 mins. When i book my bus for 3.20 it either • SCENARIO 1 it cancels!! it says “your driver could not find you at the pick up spot “ BUT THE BUS SHOULD KNOW ITS A SCHOOL AND SCHOOLS FINISH AT 3:20 • SCENARIO 2 i wait for 20 mins for the bus ( i don’t mind this) but then when i get on the bus it takes the longest route ever for no point and it takes me 1 20 mins to get home when it should take me 20 MINS!!!
I have no idea how but this service just got progressively worse, first off my stop is out of the service zone now my entire hometown is out of the service zone, bloody joke
