WeWork: Flexible Workspace

The actual WeWork locations are hit or miss. Some have “all access rooms” or dedicated quiet spaces which have real desks and real office chairs. While other locations only have common areas which are glorified lounges with uncomfortable couches, booths, and non-ergonomic seating at tables which are too high, too low, or don’t have power. How are you supposed to work longer than a few hours in that environment? They say on the app you’re “reserving a hot desk” but more often than not there is not “desk” at all, only what I described. The actual WeWork app is painfully slow at every step. Whether it’s initially opening the app, switching views from rooms, to desks, or actually completing a booking you can pretty much count on any action taken to take at 5 seconds. Every element and picture are constantly being reloaded. Have they ever heard of caching? Apparently not. With all that being said. If you can find a good WeWork location with actual desks and quiet spaces, it can be a great deal especially compared to other coworking spaces.

This has one job and it cannot do that one job. Why are rooms the default instead of desks? Why does the app take so long to load. How come the location finder isn’t even remotely accurate?? As a PM I’m so disappointed in this design. Wework failed for a number of reasons but the app is the worst product they have to offer.

This is the slowest app I have ever used. Has anyone on this dev team ever programmed a computer before?

Why do they make it so difficult to log in? I feel like I always get logged out and then have to jump through hoops to get back in. Why no FaceID? App also seems to crash a lot for me.

The app is fine, albeit pretty slow, but my main issue is that it keeps logging me out every few weeks and I have to keep logging back in manually. Why can it not keep me logged in continuously? It’s not like it has sensitive information like a banking app.

Slow, clunky, buggy, amateur. Worst app on my phone. Expected more from an international company.

It’s dishonest and a waste of time to prompt people to download your app to see what spaces are available and then not allow them to see pricing without a forced opt in. Dishonest and lacks promised transparency.

All Access helps small businesses a lot

Their customer service tried to scam my AllAccess credits, first by ghosting, then by claiming previous month booking can use next month’s credits, AND telling me something akin to “well close your issue if you don’t respond in a few hours”!

- Each screen in signup flow took at least 10s to load. The final screen took a minute with no loading indicators whatsoever - No 3rd party authentication available, for a large company I expected much more - UI is janky and often jumping around - Can't even select "Tomorrow" in drop-down list -- bounces me to some weird hybrid state of "Today Tomorrow"
