Great app. Mediocre news source with lack of local coverage.

Enjoy reading the newspaper via my iPad through the app as I feel I am saving trees in not receiving the actual paper. I find I am reading the paper more in the app than by paper. Sometimes you have to retry seeing the paper but feel that is due to my internet issues. Fully recommend

Easy to use

I’ve had a few thoughts over the past few years on improving the online version of the Free Press but haven’t felt like saying anything because of the stellar work the reporters are doing during the Pandemic. Make the photos easier to see and enlarge. Check. Stop going to start of story if I read an email or text. Check Enable me to enlarge type. Check. Plus you’ve made changes I didn’t even expect offering Text or Swipe. Thank you.

I enjoy keeping up with Winnipeg and International news in the E edition of the WFP. I am in Thailand for the winter and don’t subscribe to other news/entertainment channels other than Netflix etc so I appreciate keeping up to date. Good coverage on most subjects of interest. I don’t like receiving emails from WFP with a preview of upcoming news, starting to read it and then have to log in to WFP to finish reading the story. If I am receiving these emails, does that not tell you that I am an existing customer?

Once I got use to how to move through the sections it was great. Easy to skip to articles and when an article flowed to another page I didn’t have to flip to that page it just went there.

Keeping up with good journalism is crucial in today’s continuously changing society. Just the political shifts alone are rapid-fire. The Free Press is an independent news source with a excellent range of reporters and commentators. The app format is intuitive, and offers several options for viewing the news by page view, full article or selecting favourites topics or writers. My first choice every morning.
