Whering: Your Digital Wardrobe

It is a great app. Pretty stable and so easy to use. Cataloging a closet can be hard but this app is so snappy and fast that it has been a breeze. I have been using it for a few hours and I am almost done. Great app.

I love this app and it makes me more creative with my outfits and also helps me reduce my spending on new additions because it’s like I’m shopping from my own closet! Overall Great Features For a 100% FREE App: - NO IN-APP PURCHASES - NO SUBSCRIPTIONS - NO ADS - unlimited item uploads - easy automatic background removal - easy multiple uploads at once - lots of clothing type categories - log/plan outfits to calendar - tiered styling feature with pin-able layers and random shuffle (2/3/4 tier options) - lots of wardrobe info specifications, which are great for stats (ex. price, color, material, custom tags, seasons, occasions, care details, state: preloved/new/homemade) - stats of wardrobe inventory and usage (ex. price per wear, precent of clothes worn) - canvas collage boards to make outfits - mood boards for inspiration Potential Improvements: **Tiered Styling Feature** I especially love the tiered styling feature, it’s like something from the movies. However, for the 4 tier styling, I wish there was an option to edit which layer the clothes go on. For example, if the garment info categorized top (outermost) layers as 1, inner layer as 2, bottoms as 3, shoes as 4, it would make customizing outfits much easier because the current automatic layer set is good but some of the tops I would wear as 1 are stuck in the 2nd layer and it makes outfits slightly more difficult to visualize. Wardrobe Presentation: **Add Sort By Color Feature** I love that there are various filter options, but I wish there were more organizational options for the full wardrobe. Currently, the “sort by” options are only first/last added. It would be nice if there was a sort by color option. While the color filters are good, sometimes I just want to scroll through my whole wardrobe to see what I have and sorting by colors makes it easier for visual digestion. I started with another closet app, Clozzie, which had that sort by color feature and man it is so pleasing to scroll through and find certain pieces! On that app, it starts with white then goes to light grey, grey, black, brown, burgundy, red, orange, yellow, olive green , green, forest green, teal, light blue, blue, navy, lilac, purple, pink, beige, kaki, gold, silver, multicolored. **Add More Color Options** The current set of colors is good but I wish that there were more color options, especially olive green, since that’s a good portion of my wardrobe. Once you learn all the tricks and get through uploading your stuff it becomes very fun to use and play with.

I always loved fashion but I struggled with my own wardrobe, I knew what I had but I wasn’t able to organize it or I didn’t know how to style all my pieces. After I downloaded Whering I was able to manage my wardrobe and outfits in a much more organized and simpler way. I was able to change my style and spice things up more, I created more outfits and I organized my styles with the lookbooks. 😭I would definitely recommend this app to someone who’s struggling with their style and don’t know how to manage their outfits for work, college, school,etc.

Don’t get me wrong I love this app but for the more judgmental/nitpicking people out there here are some problems the app has. Let’s start off with the fact that this app is European. That means that when you choose the size of the garment you always have to scroll for the US sizes. Too petty for you? Ok, then in the shopping area everything is in euros. G r e a t. When it comes to the logging clothes there are also problems. Brands: this app doesn’t have every brand in existence in its list (understandable) so it lets you input brands … and then saves them and gives you no option to delete said list. So you have to constantly scroll to find that one place filler “no brand found”. It’s a pain. For those of you that stuck around this is my biggest gripe. Europe is cold. America (Texas) usually is not. For Europe a hoodie, sweater, “jumper” is not outwear. This WREAKS the organization for me and gives me immense pain. As my “outerwear” is pitifully empty. For now, as a casual user, that’s all my petty annoyances. I’ll come back if I find more (and if they anger me enough).

By far the best digital wardrobe app!! I have become far more resourceful with the pieces I have and have fallen back in love to old items. My one suggestion would be to have an actual community feed so I can see new outfits as they’re posted for inspiration. Right now the community tab doesn’t really do anything because all you can do is look at individual profiles.

I struggle a lot with deciding what to wear and often forget what I have in my closet. This app has really helped me see the potential of my outfits.

just transitioned to whering from acloset. the design is cool but acloset has some features that whering is lacking. quick categorization - let’s us quickly adjust our closet without having to put pieces in the correct category 1 by 1. NAMING outfits - this is a big one, disappointed that i can’t do that here. backgrounds for outfits - letting us personalize outfits with colorful backgrounds, etc. outfit / clothes selection view on canvas - it’s SO MICH MORE convenient to be able to create outfits when i can see the outfit on the canvas while also swiping through my closet. on whering, you can either view the closet OR the canvas, but can’t view both at same time which is annoying and inconvenient. overall it’s a cool app and i can tell the developers care which is a very big plus. i hope they care enough to make these changes.

As a personal stylist wish I could use this to style and manage my clients or friends without them having the outfit already in their wardrobe defeats the purpose of styling others
