Whink Notes

This app has an interface that is extremely hard to understand and use. Support provided by the developer is extremely poor. (They didn’t even answer my support request.) I’d recommend avoiding this one.

Would love to switch to this from notability but there are a couple things that would need to be fixed: 1) Select tool needs to allow for resizing. I should be able to pinch-zoom the selection to change size 2) Changing ink colour should be a one-tap operation. Right now I need to tap tool then tap colour. Really only need two colours to switch between (regular and “special”) For #2 it would be enough to have two “favourite” tool slots — so I could load one with a thin black pencil and one with a thick red pencil. Or one with a black pen and one with a yellow highlighter or something. Heck just have two pencil tools in the toolbar (pencil a and pencil b) that are exactly the same they just have independent settings for width/colour. 3) Folders for the individual notes - I use my iPad to take notes with consulting clients and I wouldn’t want them to see the titles of notes I took for other clients that might have confidential information. Those are the biggies — the app is really nice looking and intuitive. Very excited to check back in soon.

Dictating into the app on my iPhone six and my iPad 2 does not work when trying to dictate into the body of the pages dictating works fine when dictating a header or tag but not into the main body. You need to get this fixed. Otherwise I would say quite useful app.

Export to pdf not working and plenty of frozen screens with iOS 11.

This app is almost a onenote/noteability contender! It's missing 3 key features: 1) different brushes (the current one makes it hard to jot down notes fast, 2) changing the number of lines per page to college ruled etc, the default settings make it difficult to fit a lot of content on a single page 3) pencil to write finger touch to erase

I really liked Whink, despite some flaws, and I'm sorry to see that it's been abandoned. I haven't been able to import new docs for a few months. Boo.

No more improvements for a long time. Two bugs which I have reported last year are still there: 1. When come back to this app after more than 7 minutes, it will reopen the current notebook and stay on the first page. 2. Handwriting lags noticeably when record the 2nd recording. This app has beautiful stroke, that is why I still want to use it, please make some updates.

After setting up multiple files in this program it turns out I can no longer open the as it is incompatible with IOS 9.2.

The flow from the Apple Pencil is the best of the note taking apps. I enjoy writing in Whink. Updates to make this app more pro like and compete with Notability are needed. I keep coming back to Whink because of the  Pencil flow.
