Useless now
No longer has actual iPad formatting, just a pdf on a page now. Useless.
Styled ok but ux is horrible
Basic operations fail or don’t exist: - font size adjustment - scroll memory between pages - swipe to adjacent page happens unintentionally while scrolling - swipe to adjacent page triggers scroll to top
App froze
Each time I highlighted a word to find its definition the page froze. I had to close the app from the app switcher and reopen it again. Pretty annoying.
Good content but outdated app
Content is always good with wired but it still didn't update the app for a long time. For example the are still big margins around screen on iPad pro 11.
Horrible
Every few days the app loses its downloaded magazines and I have to redownload them again. With limited mobile bandwith this becomes a problem.
Outdated design
For a forward looking magazine such as wired it is rather odd to have no support for the new (1 year old) Apple devices. The app works fine, but it feels really old.
The app works, BUT!
Well as said in the title. The app works. So my review is not based on the fact that the app works. But it's based on the fact that the app is outdated, not optimised and not good looking. When subscribing to the Wired magazine, I really had high expectations. But unfortunately, dissapointed as I am, I have to say that they didn't fulfill my expectations.
Still not optimized for iPad Pro
Offering a 50% discount because “iPad Pro is here”, but why aren’t your apps updated for iPad Pro?
