When using the 4G/5G carrier DNS, it’s unable to fully lookup the hostname which is consistent behavior with a DNS client app. However, if we rely on the OS to perform the host name lookup, it’s able to resolve the name and ping the IP. The App needs further reinforcement in DNS resolution of WireGuard endpoint hostnames.

The set-up is easy but after a while no data is moving when the VPN is auto-activated. A pain to troubleshoot. It’s doing the same thing on 2 different iPhone.

The app would be perfect if it allowed a way to clear the log out have it scroll down instead of up - it’s a bit of a pain to view when there are lots of messages. Otherwise it works great, fast connection, easy to use. Well done!

UniFi 3.0.20 introduced WireGuard support for the first time. I removed the L2TP VPN server that I was using on my UDM, added a new WireGuard profile and downloaded this app. It’s only been a few minutes but I can already tell it works much better than Teleport WiFiMan - it’s faster to connect and the ad-hoc cellular setting saves me an extra step whenever I leave the house.

It seems to work ok but the first night after installing it i went to bed with 95% battery and to my horror woke up to discover my phone turned off. I turned it on and it was at 1%. This is over only 6 hrs (on standby the entire time) and my phones battery is still at 100% health. If you decide to try this app I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you either plug your phone in all night at first and\or set a backup alarm. I am running no other background apps, am not beta testing, and have an iPhone 13 on 16.3 with a small amount of apps installed. I also have very good home wifi. There was virtually no sign of excess drainage during my daytime use. I had also previously used this app for months before on this same phone with zero problems. Good app worth trying but you have been warned! ;)

WireGuard is easy to put in place and seems to meet all the needs for a vpn. I would like to have the uptime of the connection and the upload and download on the main page of the ios app once a connection is activated.

32bit base64 encoded string doesn’t work in the app, it claims that it’s not one

It really does what it says. It’s fast, secure, modern. Love the fast roaming, back to home features. There’s really nothing that compares to it.

Wireguard is awesome! Please add support for iPhone 6S camera. Currently I cannot scan QR code’s for setting up a new connections.

It shows it being connected whether or not it was successful making troubleshooting a bad setup almost impossible. No way to clear log file either. It looks easy to set up but you can’t tell!
