Wireless Audio : Multiroom

Whilst it’s great that new software versions are being supported, this seems to be done at the expense of older OS’s. My older 6th Gen iPod touch that’s running 12.5.7 and that I used as my Multi-Room ‘juke box’ has stopped working, and sees the app crashing upon opening.

The worst app and cinema system I’ve ever experienced. The speakers drop in and out of the app randomly. A total waste of my money

Thankfully the App still works, which is great, especially for those of us with older Samsung soundbars, but it’s not reliable and really need to be revamped and redesigned, or, it’s features and support ported over and integrated as part of Samsung SmartThings.

It works… sometimes. Otherwise it’s an endless resetting, restarting and dealing with various unidentified errors. We have all Samsung set, TV + speakers and one would expect they would work together. Frustrating.

The app WAS working well on my iPad and I was enjoying the music from my “R” speakers and sound bar until the last update. Sadly now the app just freezes up and crashes on startup. Uninstalled, reinstalled multiple times and the same result. A real shame as the app was great to use on the larger screen of the iPad. Hopefully some bug fixes will be looked into for this app.

Love the speakers but connectivity is limited

I would like it very much if it didn’t sometimes seem to forget a speaker when I start it.

the app keeps disconnecting from the sound bar so we have to keep trying to reconnect the sound bar through the app which for the majority of time doesn’t work first time you have to keep trying and trying disconnecting plugs entering the wifi password numourous times if samsung sorted this glitch out it would be 5star but it’s becoming annoying now.

Samsung R lite is useless without this software, there are no jack ports, just moronic a company like Samsung think they can drop support for old kit. I had some faith in the brand, but it’s the usual, we can’t be bothered, we’ve had your money now go away. It’s not even a good paper weight, just OpenSource it and let home brew take it over, but no lock it down and just let it goto land fill, you absolute set of bad people. I’ll have to write to Greta and vent my frustration.

Samsung abandoned support for this a while ago and it no longer connects to any of my speakers. Moving to Sonos
