JUNK
Yesterday the app did its annoying animation on opening, and this morning just opens to a blank screen. Turned on/off the iPhone and Deleted the app - reloaded it again. Still the same blank white screen. Please bring back the old app - this one has not been good since the release. Maybe the server is down but who writes an app that depends on the server to paint the opening screen/menu?
Mapping function does not work. The search engine is weak. For example, I search for “Macon GA” and “31220” and get different results even though they are the same place. Click on a result, view it, then the back function completely resets the search and doesn’t return to the previous results.
Worst homepage ever! Gone are all the useful links GradLink provided. Instead the user is given the following: 1. First and Last Name windows for a grad for whom you are searching. 2. “Type a keyword.” ?????? 3. “Type & select a location.” That I understand...but wait til you see what happens when using this search feature. 4. “More filters.” 5. Three photos, names, and locations of some random graduates. This useless information takes up over half of the homepage instead of useful links GradLink formerly provided. Suppose you want to find your classmates located near a particular location. Simple! Type in a location, and the location and its zip code appears. Next, click on “More filters” to find the appropriate class year from the pull-down menu. What’s this? Zero results? Apparently, the app only looks for grads in that zip code - not across the street in an adjacent zip code, or in a radius of 5, 10, 25, 50, or whatever miles away. Not helpful! There’s no “back” arrow! Apparently, everyone is supposed to know sweeping left to right goes back. Not very intuitive to this old fart.
