Gender bias
WPS emphasizes a “father” theme with terms like “father theme,” “father block,” and “father order.” This approach clearly shows gender bias, deliberately ignoring the role of women and lacking respect for gender equality. Such software should not be used! WPS软件主打“父”主题，父主题、父块、父订单，这种做法明显存在性别歧视的嫌疑，刻意忽视女性角色，缺乏对性别平等的尊重。这种软件不应该使用！
Who Approved This? Mother Theme Becomes Father Theme?
WPS has recently changed “parent theme” to “father theme” and “master” to “father” in its professional terminology. On what grounds can such terms be arbitrarily altered? Should we also change “Motherland” to “Fatherland” then? This change is not only unnecessary but also confusing for long-term users who are accustomed to the original terms. This is absolutely unprofessional!!!
Why 'Father Topic' in the Chinese Version?
In the Chinese version of the mind map tool, the change from 'Mother Topic' to 'Father Topic' feels abrupt, unnecessary, and frankly confusing. This shift not only disrupts long-standing user habits but also carries uncomfortable undertones, reinforcing outdated gender stereotypes and clashing with cultural values. In a language where 'Mother Topic' has always felt natural and intuitive, this change feels out of place and poorly thought out. Why make such a change when it adds no real value? I sincerely hope the team reconsiders this decision and respects the habits and cultural context of its Chinese-speaking users.
