Write It! Russian

I like this app but encountered 2 bugs in the 3rd lesson. The Y sound (й) doesn’t accept my mark above the letter, no matter how perfectly it traces the example. The Zh sound (ж) doesn’t ever allow me to finish the last part of the letter. It just accepts it before I finish. Maybe there are other bugs….these are what I found so far in the first 3 lessons. I’m using iPhone 13 mini, iOS 18.1.1.

I just got the app and payed the $5 fee but on my phone, same accounts,but it wont transfer to my iPad so my only option is to buy it twice or suffer the loss.

I’ve tried a few of these apps and I feel like this is the most helpful so far. The problem is it’s not good at recognizing symbols above the certain letters that have them. I spend most of my time trying to get it to recognize when I make these and probably 2/3 of the time, the program counts my writing wrong despite making the shape correctly. I don’t know if it’s not sensitive enough or too sensitive or not calibrated correctly, but it becomes frustrating fast, especially when you start to really get the hang of writing the letters well, but end up missing points on the test for no reason. If they fix this, it will be a 5 star app, no question. Even the free version is a delight to use as the ads are balanced well with how much app usage happens between each one. This app is so close to perfect…just this little fix and you will have something truly remarkable!

i just wish hate how you strictly have to write in cursive,there should be a choice

It thinks у is written as how и is written in cursive. I speak Russian but I’m trying to brush up and this app is full of false crap.

The app no longer has the option to have cyrillic only for the letters at the top. It only has the english sound/letter that the cyrillic corresponds to. Please update this.

This app is awesome for practicing Russian cursive, but every now and then it will accept something wildly wrong that I wrote, and for some reason I have to use my finger to finish drawing «Ё» because it refuses to dot the letter with my Apple Pencil. It’s still a great resource regardless.

This app has been fantastic for learning Russian letters, but its been frustrating to have to keep turning the letter back on to trace it. There should be a setting to enable the letter in the background for practice mode. I cant remember a letter after only tracing it once. Pretty please developers? I love the app otherwise and purchased the full unlocked version.
