Daily Prompt: Creative Writing

Love the app but for anyone looking to get it when you set your personalised prompts click (almost) everything cause they run out really fast.

Please for the love of god I love this app but I thought I cancelled it and now I was charged 34.99 and I now can’t afford any food or travel for the rest of the week. Please refund me I beg you.

This app is a good tool for amateur or aspiring writers, with plenty of prompts for stories and access to many other writings for inspiration. A fortnightly competition for cash prizes is very welcome, and forces you to write the most creatively you can in order to win. My one gripe is that the first round of these competitions is decided by popular vote, which has two drawbacks. The first is that there’s no requirement to have read all of the entries before voting, so votes may be prematurely cast. The second is it opens the door for tactical voting, whereby fellow writers in the competition vote strategically to maximise their chances of progressing. I’m sure establishing a fair system is challenging in this case, though, so its imperfection is forgivable.

I really liked the idea of this app, believing it would help push me to write every day. However I really don’t like the idea of anyone else reading my attempt until I’m ready. I’ve just found out that the developers are about to add a feature to give me the control I’m after, so I’ll wait and see

I love this app even though i don’t have premium i still don’t get ad’s, I'm able to interact with others and get feedback on my work

This app was great and I found myself on here everyday it used to be super fun. I understand money has to be made somewhere but now having to pay for stuff I used to have for free is just annoying tbh. You get two prompts per day and can’t access any of the other prompts, you used to get thousands. You used to be able to enter competitions and now you can’t and you can’t see your insights anymore either. Why take this away for the loyal people that have downloaded the app for ages? You could have came up with new things to pay for instead of stuff that was already free. The app isn’t what it was now because of this and I’m gutted to be honest.

This app is very good although I find it is very sad how you have to have premium just to go into a competition. Literally, all you can do without premium is write your story that’s it! There is no other fun. You cannot follow famous authors or get info on how to make your writing more intriguing. I find that very unfair. This app is supposed to help with your creativity, it should help you learn, I don’t think you should need to have premium on just trying to get info on how to make your writing more interesting!

I have been looking for an app like this for YEARS. It is absolutely perfect. You get daily prompts as well as hundreds of other prompts in different categories. There is advice on all areas of writing and prompts that allow you to focus on certain techniques. There is also a weekly competition where you can win various prizes under $100. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a whole community on there that can give feedback on your writing if you wish. If you post your writing on a daily prompt or competition you are almost certainly going to be noticed in the community and receive likes. This is just perfection. I can’t praise this app enough. I have even started to explore writing poetry - something I never even considered before! 10/10. I recommend this to all writers out there, from amateurs to experienced.

This is an amazing app. It allows you the choice of either doing one of the daily prompts. Or you can go in to a very comprehensive list of prompts in varying styles from poetry to visual. Also, while there are stats for your writing streak, they are there to encourage you but never pressure you to complete if. The same with the reminders for completing your drafts. The people who read your work on here are very good. While every story you write may not get a comment, thus far I’ve not received any nasty criticism. It’s all been positive and constructive. It’s a great place to be wether you are a fair weather writer who does it for fun, or someone who is more ambitious. It’s a good site for everyone. Come on in and write something. You’ll really enjoy it.
