App is beautiful & functions well. With the touch of a button you can begin streaming the station live. It shows what song & artist are playing & includes a graphic of the album cover. The station plays an eclectic mix of all types of music. The DJs are personable, knowledgeable and skilled. No, I didn’t get paid to write this. I just love intelligent, knowledgeable DJs, especially ones that mix with an artistic flair.

Best radio station on earth and I love being able to easily jump on the stream easily from across the country, but I wish I could see the live playlist and the DJ name. Previous reviews suggest the live playlist feature used to be part of the app (don’t tell Jake or DVD that I never used the app until recently)—bring it back, y’all.

I live in Big Sur, CA, but grew up in Chapel Hill. It's crazy to me that WXYC has been so consistently good for so long. The app connects me to one of the best college radio stations I've ever heard. So dope - thank you.

Big fan of WXYC since the days when I lived in Chapel Hill/Carrboro in the 90s. Love the app overall with one very major issue: No AirPlay support. Truly an astounding oversight that needs to be remedied as soon as possible. A lesser issue is the lack of iPad-native app considering that this is designed to be a "Walkman" but given what I mention above, it's worth a look. Just roll out a universal app with AirPlay next time and you've totally won.

And WXYC is my eclectic station of choice. Glad to have a mobile option when my radio reception is poor.

More radio stations need to do things like this. Love that I get a stream of music played and that I can keep favorites
