BEHRINGER X AIR iPad app for X18/XR18/XR16/XR12 DIGITAL MIXERS
X AIR allows you to control the mixing, processing and effects functions of BEHRINGER's X18, XR18, XR16, & XR12 Digital Mixers right from your iPad®.
X AIR Version 1.5 delivers simple and advanced control features for the X18, XR18, XR16 & XR12 consoles. The user interface is providing access to mixing 18 input channels to 12 buses and editing 4 internal stereo effects processors, with highest professional audio quality, yet hiding away most of the underlying complexity. Switching to 'Advanced' mode offers full access to many more parameters of Sends, Gate and Compressor sections, when needed. You may also use the application in demo mode for offline show preparation, when no mixer is available.

It’s working again!
The app seems to be working again. Yay!!
Borderline scam?
I had to think about how to phrase this review. Sure, the app is free and I lose nothing if it doesn’t work. But no, I bought a mixer worth hundreds of dollars and this is the accompanying app that is supposed to make it work. To think that the manufacturer and maker of this mixer did not make a usable app or fix it after the update (which by the way has been a LONG TIME AGO) is appalling. Hire some software engineers. Fix this.
App just crashes totally useless now

Music Group needs to lift their game
I have both the behringer XR16 and midas MR18, the apps for both have been unusable for months. I now have to use the mixing station app to use my mixers. I will not be buying or recommending their products anymore. You can't leave your customers high and dry and expect to be taken seriously. Anyone looking at behringer or midas products should be wary. Music Group are proving that they don't care enough about their customers to actually support their products. These mixers are still for sale. If they are not willing to fully support their product, they should have the decency to discontinue or recall it.
APP CLOSURE
The app keeps closing with any changes other than just normal faders. This needs to be rectified asap. Normally the app is great, but this update, or new version is really frustrating.
XR 12 UPDATE FAILURE!
Since the last update to IOS 16, this app crashes attempting to do,ANYTHING! It’s a very poor effort, not updates of this app for 3 years or more. I also have an iPad 2 which is no longer supported, so I foolishly deleted it & now the app is designated not compatible with that device either! Are you folks for real? $500 worth of hardware reduced to rubbish? Are you going to take any action, even reply to the now countless reviews like mine? Your name is MUD!
Best crashing App
App keeps crashing 11/2/2023 total failure.
A lesson for all
Crashing and now useless. Not updated for 2 years is a big wake up call for anyone relying on regular software updates for their devices. Yes there are 3rd party apps, but I can’t believe Behringer would not update their software and keep a popular product such as the XR18 current and functional, for a reasonable timeframe. At least it’s a good size for a door stop.
Crashes after iOS update
Updated to iOS 16.3.1 and now constantly crashes after touching certain menu options like channel EQ. Unusable in it’s current state.
