Yango Pro (Taximeter) - driver

Something should be done about riders that cancel after you have arrived at the location that they choose and there should be more transparency on how driver ratings work because my rating changes without the number of people rating me changing

Yango fare has drastically decreased. Yango ride are now cheaper than the normal taxi which is a public transport. Tge distance covered on picking up a client from their premises and dropping them off at their destination doesn’t match the amount charged. Drivers aren’t making anything. How can one drive for 10kms for N$15.50? This issue has been raised long ago and yet no change. Fuel prices are increasing in Namibia.

This is the useless app I never met,it doesn’t consider drivers at all,everything is in the favor of its customers and itself,drivers have no time for their families and homes,no savings apart from working for fuel and car owners…. Very disappointing,if one taxi platform comes on board,these Yango will loose investors and drivers in some of African countries. 😞

Why are drivers forced to load drunk clients, overloaded clients and illegal parcels without an option to cancel

Yango isn’t considering its drivers, the people who make money for them. Ride prices too low. Costs of carrying out requests are much higher than the income. Please change. Update prices for drivers to help you in a sustainable way

Low Prices in Namibia, cheaper than public cabs. Drivers only make money for Yango and Petrol. No profit, market over saturated, the app change the method of payment by itself. Yango is Good for riders not the driver, drivers gets penalized unfairly. Driver can’t cancel ride without being penalized even if they are in unsafe neighborhoods. Support is useless, they don’t help drivers. Their response are automated.

This is not fair you end up driving a trip of 4 people and they are paying N$13 or N$20 which is not fair. Driver should be allowed to view the price before accepting the trip. Distance are too long and the price is too less. It must benefit both parties please.

The app is great and easy to use. But I am yet to see if it is worthwhile considering the prices set for the clients against the fuel consumption and time invested.

Changing of rides without drivers consent is affecting us because sometimes the drivers already communicated to the clients, that means the client will be called by another clients and it’s causing confusions and trust issues. Atleast the drivers must have an option as to whether they want to accept the nearest ride or they want to continue on going rides.

I tried to register on this app and the process that was supposed to be straightforward was overly complicated and frustrating. I contacted support to help me with my issue and all they could tell me I need to have uninterrupted internet connection?? That app loads like hell and is not optimized to use the network efficiently. I am a developer myself and this is one of the worst app experience I’ve ever encountered.
