Driver Misconduct and Delayed Service
Dear Yango Team, I want to report a very disappointing and unprofessional experience I had with one of your drivers on June 30. I have been using Yango for the past few days, and the location has always been accurate, so I didn’t feel the need to double-check it. On this day, I booked a ride as usual and waited outside my house, but the driver was not at the pickup location. He tried calling me via the in-app call, but due to network issues, we couldn’t hear each other properly. I later called him back and gave him clear directions to my actual location. He said he would come, so I waited for over 20 minutes in total. Despite multiple calls and him saying “I’ll be there in 5 seconds,” he kept delaying. I was already late for work, and when I politely asked if I could cancel and book another ride, he insisted I wait. When he finally arrived, instead of understanding my frustration, he blamed me for the incorrect location (even though the location was auto-set by the app and had worked previously). He was rude, aggressive, and kept arguing throughout the ride. The most unacceptable part was that he told me to get down in the middle of the road during our argument, which felt unsafe, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful. This experience was stressful, made me late for work, and left me feeling unsafe and disrespected. I request that Yango take appropriate action against the driver and ensure such behavior is not repeated in the future.
